Tuberculosis drug resistance contributes to the spread of tuberculosis. Immunotherapy is an effective strategy for treating tuberculosis, with the regulation of macrophage-mediated anti-tuberculosis immunity being crucial. Norcantharidin (NCTD), a drug used in tumor immunotherapy, has significant immunomodulatory effects.

In order to explore how soil warming and precipitation exclusion influence soil N2O fluxes, we used related functional genes as markers, and four treatments were set up, i.e. , control (CT), soil warming (W, 5 ℃ above the ambient temperature of the control), 50% precipitation reduction (P), soil warming plus 50% precipitation reduction (WP).

It has been reported that circular RNA (circRNA) is associated with human cancer. However, few studies have been reported in active pulmonary tuberculosis (APTB). The global circRNA expression was detected in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of APTB patients (n=5) and health controls (HC) (n=5) by using high-throughput sequencing.

Article Synopsis
  • The role of human IL-37 in infections, particularly tuberculosis (TB), is not well understood, and its sources and effects on immune responses in TB patients haven't been thoroughly studied.
  • This study found that IL-37b-producing monocytes were linked to higher levels of IL-37b in the plasma of TB patients, especially in more severe cases of TB.
  • Additionally, TB-infected monocytes showed increased production of IL-37b upon re-infection with mycobacteria, suggesting that these monocytes are more effective at producing IL-37b compared to pro-inflammatory cytokines during such infections.
