Sodium-ion batteries have abundant sources of raw materials, uniform geographical distribution, and low cost, and it is considered an important substitute for lithium-ion batteries. Thereinto, solid-state sodium-ion batteries have the advantages of low raw material cost, high safety, and high energy density, and it has shown great potential for application in the fields of mobile power, electric vehicles, and large-scale energy storage systems. However, the commercial development and large-scale application of solid-state sodium-ion batteries urgently need to address issues such as the low room-temperature ionic conductivity of solid electrolytes, high interfacial charge transfer impedance, and poor compatibility and contact between the solid electrolytes and the electrodes.

Additionally, external factor-induced OVs (defined as intrinsic OVs) also play a pivotal role in the physicochemical properties of layered TM oxides. However, an in-depth understanding of the interplay between intrinsic and anionic redox-mediated OVs and the corresponding regulation mechanism of the dynamic evolution of OVs is still missing.

However, the association between prenatal pyrethroid pesticides (PYRs) exposure and neonatal lipid metabolism remains uncertain. To explore the association of prenatal PYRs exposure and neonates' lipid metabolism, pregnant women were recruited in rural Yunnan, China, and their urine samples in the first, second, and third trimester and their neonates' cord blood samples were collected to obtain urinary PYRs metabolites (3PBA, 4F3PBA, and DBCA), cord blood TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, and Non-HDL-C, AIP, CRI-I, CRI-II, AC, and LCI.

Recent studies reveal that humans employ different mechanisms for PGC specification compared with model organisms such as mice. Moreover, the specific regulatory machinery remains largely unexplored, mainly due to the inaccessible nature of this complex biological process in humans.

The plasmid-mediated conjugative transfer of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) stands out as the primary driver behind the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Developing effective inhibitors that target conjugative transfer represents an potential strategy for addressing the issue of AMR. Here, we studied the effect of acetylshikonin (ASK), a botanical derivative, on plasmid conjugation.

Here, we discover that dietary protein, rather than carbohydrates or fat, is the primary nutritional risk factor for MASLD in humans. Consistently, ex vivo tracing studies identify amino acids as a major carbon supplier for the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and lipogenesis in isolated mouse hepatocytes.

The chemokine CXCL13 secreted by stro-mal cells of the lymph nodes induces the homing of B and T lymphocytes, which express its receptor CXCR5. Preclinical trials have shown that the expression of CXCR5 on CD19 CAR-T cells can increase their migration to the tumor microenvironment and enhance their antitumor function.

LncRNAs bind to miRNAs as competitive endogenous RNAs to regulate the occurrence and progression of AML, with IL-6R playing a crucial role in hematological malignancies. However, the mechanism by which noncoding RNAs regulate IL6R expression in AML remains unclear.

However, challenges such as phase transition and irreversible oxygen release during cycling often lead to rapid structural distortion and the formation of oxygen vacancies, ultimately resulting in rapid capacity decay. Herein, a covalency modulation strategy is adopted to address these challenges and successfully achieved a stable P2-type Mn-based layered oxide by introducing strong covalent Ni─O bonds.

The rise of antibiotic tolerance in bacteria harboring genetic elements conferring resistance to antibiotics poses an increasing threat to public health. However, the primary factors responsible for the emergence of antibiotic tolerance and the fundamental molecular mechanisms involved remain poorly comprehended. Here, we demonstrate that the commonly utilized food additive Benzaldehyde (BZH) possesses the capacity to induce a significant level of fluoroquinolone tolerance in vitro among resistant .

In this report, we investigate how modulation of medium pH and associated metabolic changes influence mesendoderm differentiation from hPSCs. We show that daily medium pH fluctuations are critical for the heterogeneity of cell fates in the absence of exogenous inducers.

However, the current design of NNDS-NS is excessively focused on mucosal absorption while neglecting the impact of nasal deposition on nose-to-brain drug delivery, resulting in an unsatisfactory nose-to-brain delivery efficiency. In this study, the effect of the dispersion medium viscosity on nasal drug deposition and nose-to-brain delivery in NDDS-NS was elucidated.

In light of the progress made in treatments, the limited effectiveness and negative side effects of present pharmaceuticals need a more comprehensive comprehension of the underlying processes in order to develop more precise remedies. Exosomes, which are tiny vesicles that play a vital role in cell communication, have been identified as prospective vehicles for effective delivery of anti-inflammatory medicines, immunomodulators, and gene treatments.

Objectives: With the full liberalization of China's fertility policy, the gradual increase in maternal age during pregnancy, and the rising proportion of overweight and obesity among women of childbearing age, the number of pregnant women with chronic hypertension (CHTN) combined with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is increasing, leading to a significantly increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study aims to analyze the prevalence of CHTN and CHTN complications with GDM, and compare the adverse pregnancy outcomes between the 2 conditions, providing a basis for intervention measures.
Methods: This study was a prospective cohort study.
