Mutations in ADGRV1 can cause seizures, but the mechanism remains unclear. The zebrafish model can be used to assess the functions of human ADGRV1 and its variant alleles during embryonic development. In this study, we summarized the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of four children with ADGRV1 variation and based on this, we validated the ADGRV1 loss phenotype in an adgrv1-knockout zebrafish model.

Methods: A total of 507 participants were recruited for this study, comprising 162 healthy controls (HCs), 186 non-CRLM patients, and 159 CRLM patients. Serum Lp-PLA2 levels were measured across these three groups, and a CRLM prediction model was developed using machine learning (ML) algorithms in conjunction with traditional serological markers.

Water diversion projects effectively mitigate the uneven distribution of water resources but can also influence aquatic biodiversity and ecosystem functions. Despite their importance, the impacts of such projects on multi-domain microbial community dynamics and the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Utilizing high-throughput sequencing, we investigated bacterial, archaeal, and fungal community dynamics along the eastern route of the South-to-North water diversion project during both non-water diversion period (NWDP) and water diversion period (WDP).

Millions of treatment courses have been prescribed in the United States alone. Paxlovid was highly effective at preventing hospitalization and death in clinical trials.

Liver metastases have the worst prognosis in advanced NSCLC, but the genomic characteristics of liver oligometastasis remain unclear. The aim of our study was to elucidate the molecular features of liver oligometastatic NSCLC.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study to evaluate the success rate of LIFT treatment in 82 patients with high transsphincteric fistulas involving at least one-third of the external sphincter. This study was carried out across 2 centers from November 2009 to February 2023.
Objective: To translate and validate the Chinese version of the Epilepsy Anxiety Survey Instrument (EASI) and its brief version (brEASI) among Chinese people with epilepsy.
Methods: Adult outpatients from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital were recruited. The type of anxiety disorder was determined via the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI).
Bone is a multifaceted tissue requiring orchestrated interplays of diverse cells within specialized microenvironments. Although significant progress has been made in understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms of component cells of bone, revealing their spatial organization and interactions in native bone tissue microenvironment is crucial for advancing precision medicine, as they govern fundamental signaling pathways and functional dependencies among various bone cells. In this study, we present the first integrative high-resolution map of human bone and bone marrow, using spatial and single-cell transcriptomics profiling from femoral tissue.

During thermal charging, the coexistence and dynamic competition between thermal-induced voltage rise and self-discharge lead to the limitations of the thermocapacitive cycle. Therefore, the operational conditions in the charge-heat-discharge steps seriously restrict the thermal charging performance.

Impaired autophagy, a process by which a cell breaks down and destroys damaged or abnormal proteins and other substances, contributes to AD progression. This study investigated Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 1 Group D Member 1 (NR1D1) as a potential therapeutic target for modulating autophagy.

Moreover, its effects on renal function indicators in plasma [creatinine (CREA), urea (UREA)], oxidative stress factor [malondialdehyde (MDA)], inflammatory factor [myeloperoxidase (MPO), histone H4 (H4), and macrophage inflammatory protein-2 (MIP-2)] are studied. Sixty SPF grade adult male Wistar rats in a healthy state under natural infection were randomly divided into blank, LSP, and experimental groups, with 20 rats in each group.

However, surface structure degradation and interfacial impurities of spent cathodes significantly hinder Li replenishment during restoration. Herein, we propose a unique advanced oxidation strategy that leverages the inherent catalytic activity of spent layered cathode materials to address these challenges.

The thermodynamic parameters of the APFG@tQ[14] in aqueous solution were determined by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), the results indicated that the spontaneous assembly of APFG@tQ[14] is mainly driven by enthalpy. The intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) effect induced the APFG@tQ[14] probe to emit a strong orange-red fluorescence.

Designing semiconductor photocatalysts with unique structures can improve the transfer efficiency of solar energy to hydrogen (H). In this study, a dual modification method of element doping and morphological control was used. The Mn-doped hollow octahedron ZnInS (ZHO-Mn) was synthesized by a simple one-pot solvothermal method using the octahedral Mn-based metal-organic framework (Mn-MOF) as a template.

However, there are very few ground-based measurements on forest branches, needles, and canopies. In this study, a quantitative analysis of the canopy branches, needles, and ground contribution of Masson pine scenes in C-, X-, and Ku-bands was conducted based on a microwave anechoic chamber measurement platform.
