The development of a lasing wavelength switch, particularly from a single inorganic gain material, is challenging but highly demanded for advanced photonics. Nonetheless, all current lasing emission of inorganic gain materials arises from band-edge states, and the inherent fixed bandgap limitation of the band-edge system leads to the inaccessibility of lasing wavelength switching from a single inorganic gain material. Here the realization of a single inorganic gain material-based lasing wavelength switch is reported by proposing an alternative lasing emission strategy, that is, lasing emission from surface gain.

Unconventional feed, which is abundant in China, contains anti-nutritional factors and toxins; however, these can be greatly reduced with microbial fermentation, thus improving the nutrient content of the feed, enhancing animal appetites, and ultimately significantly improving the intestinal health and growth performance of animals. When oxidative stress occurs, fermented feed can effectively reduce the damage caused by stress to the gastrointestinal tract, accelerate the removal of gastrointestinal abnormalities, improve the ability to resist intestinal stress, and ensure the efficient production of animals. This review introduces the application of unconventional fermented feed in animal production, and expounds upon the function of unconventional fermented feed in animals with oxidative stress symptoms, so as to provide a theoretical reference for the development and application of unconventional fermented feed in antioxidative stress reduction.

Due to the demanding depolymerization conditions and limited catalytic efficiency, enhancing lignin valorization remains challenging. Therefore, lowering the bond dissociation energy (BDE) has emerged as a viable strategy for achieving mild yet highly effective cleavage of bonds. In this study, a photocatalytic semi-hydrogenation/reduction strategy utilizing CsPbBr quantum dots (CPB-QDs) and Hantzsch ester (HEH ) as a synergistic catalytic system was introduced to reduce the BDE of C -O-Ar, achieving effective cleavage of the C -O-Ar bond.

Background And Aim: Insulin resistance (IR) plays an important role in the atherosclerotic process, and the triglyceride glucose (TyG) index is a reliable indicator of IR and is strongly associated with cardiovascular disease. However, there are few studies regarding the relationship between the TyG index and chronic total coronary occlusion (CTO). Herein, the correlation between the TyG index and CTO, as well as their interactions with other traditional cardiovascular risk factors, were investigated.

Excessive calcium-phosphorus product (Ca-P product) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with coronary artery calcification and coronary artery disease, but the relation between Ca-P product and coronary artery disease in non-CKD populations has rarely been reported. Therefore, we designed a cross-sectional study to investigate the role of Ca-P product in total coronary artery occlusion (TCAO) in a non-CKD population. We reviewed 983 patients who underwent coronary angiography at Guangyuan Central Hospital from February 2018 to January 2020.

A series of four photoluminescent Al and In complexes were synthesised using an environmentally-benign mechanosynthesis strategy. Sterically crowded 3,5-di--butyl functionalised salophen and salen ligands and their respective complexes have been synthesised in the solid-state and fully characterised. Subsequent photophysics and electrochemistry studies of the resulting complexes suggest that these new group 13 complexes can be viable alternatives to traditional photoluminescent complexes based on expensive and low abundant noble metals.

The realization of efficient on-chip microlasers with scalable fabrication, ultralow threshold, and stable single-frequency operation is always desired for a wide range of miniaturized photonic systems. Herein, an effective way to fabricate nanostructures- whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) lasers by drop-casting CdSe/CdS@Cd Zn S core/buffer-shell@graded-shell nanoplatelets (NPLs) dispersion onto silica microspheres is presented. Benefiting from the excellent gain properties from the interface engineered core/hybrid shell NPLs and high-quality factor WGM resonator from excellent optical field confinement, the proposed room-temperature NPLs-WGM microlasers show a record-low lasing threshold of 3.
