Article Synopsis
  • Saposhnikovia divaricata is a traditional Chinese medicine known for its heat-clearing and detoxifying properties, but research on its lipophilic components is limited compared to its chromones.
  • The study involved collecting lipophilic samples from various regions in China to develop an HPLC fingerprint, which identified 19 common peaks, including essential fatty acids like linolenic and docosahexaenoic acid.
  • The findings also indicate that SDL demonstrated anti-aging effects in the C. elegans model by enhancing lifespan and other growth indicators, suggesting potential applications in health and cosmetic products.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aims to understand the clinical and pathological features of three cases of bronchiolar adenoma and ciliated muconodular papillary tumors by analyzing their diagnosis and treatment histories at the Second People's Hospital of Weifang City.
  • Researchers conducted a retrospective analysis, collecting data from 35 articles and 71 cases, discovering that most patients were middle-aged, with a significant number having a history of smoking, and conditions were often asymptomatic until detected through physical exams.
  • Histological examination revealed that these tumors displayed distinct patterns—such as acinar and papillary formations—characterized by specific epithelial components, while diagnosis was supported by immunohistochemical markers like p63,

At present, the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer have always been one of the research hotspots in the medical field. Early diagnosis and treatment of this disease are necessary means to improve the survival rate of lung cancer patients and reduce their mortality. The introduction of computer-aided diagnosis technology can easily, quickly, and accurately identify the lung nodule area as an imaging feature of early lung cancer for the clinical diagnosis of lung cancer and is helpful for the quantitative analysis of the characteristics of lung nodules and is useful for distinguishing benign and malignant lung nodules.

In this research, a sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) method was established and validated for simultaneous detection of ten active constituents (gallic acid, catechin, berberine, palmatine, baicalin, baicalein, wogonin, rhein, emodin and chrysophanol) in Xiedu San, a traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation with effects of clearing away heat and toxic materials. The analysis was achieved on Agilent ZORBAX SB-C column (5μm, 250mm×4.6mm) with the temperature of 30°C.

In this paper, ultrasonic-assisted deep eutectic solvent (DES) extraction was applied to the acquisition of chromones (cimicifugin, prim-o-glucosylcimifugin, and 5-o-methylvisamminoside) from (SR). The extraction effects of 11 prepared DESs were screened taking contents of chromones as indexes. Furthermore, the optimum extraction conditions were confirmed using a single-factor test and response surface optimization test.
