Background: MARVEL domain-containing 1 (MARVELD1) has been implicated in the progression of several cancers, but its role in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) remains poorly understood.

Methods: RNA-seq data from the TCGA-PAAD and GTEx-Pancreas cohorts were analyzed to assess MARVELD1 expression. Stable MARVELD1 knockdown and overexpression were conducted in BxPC3 and PANC-1 cells.

The management of brain tumors presents numerous challenges, despite the employment of multimodal therapies including surgical intervention, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Owing to the distinct location of brain tumors and the presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), these tumors exhibit considerable heterogeneity and invasiveness at the histological level. Recent advancements in hydrogel research for the local treatment of brain tumors have sought to overcome the primary challenge of delivering therapeutics past the BBB, thereby ensuring efficient accumulation within brain tumor tissues.

Accurate prediction of the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is challenging. The therapy is different from other radiotherapy; the dynamic distribution of boron-containing compounds in tumor cells affects the therapeutic outcome considerably and hampers accurate measurement of the neutron-absorbed dose. Herein, we used boron-containing metal-organic framework nanoparticles (BMOFs) with high boron content to target U87-MG cells and maintain the concentration of the B isotope in cells.

Article Synopsis
  • * Results indicate that both the positivity rate and geometric mean concentration (GMC) of HBsAb increased with each vaccine dose, peaking after the third dose, with a 100% positivity rate observed between 11 and 90 days post-vaccination.
  • * Although HBsAb levels are maintained at over 90% positivity and a GMC above 100 mIU/mL within the first year, they gradually decline, with the lowest values recorded by the 9th and

Background: Rubella is a highly contagious viral infection with mild manifestations that occurs most often in children and young adults. Infection during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, can result in an infant born with congenital rubella syndrome (CRS). The purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of rubella epidemics in Anhui province from 2012 to 2021 and explore the prevention and control strategies of rubella.
