Background: Adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT) is a well-recognized and well-established treatment for surgically resected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but its suitability for elderly patients remains controversial. Further investigation is warranted to guide ACT decisions in this demographic.
Methods: We extracted data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database, focusing on patients aged 70 years or older who underwent surgical resection for stage IB, II, or III NSCLC as per the 7th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer staging system (AJCC 7th edition).
Background: There is variability in the prognosis of stage III-N2 lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients. The current tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) staging is not sufficient to precisely estimate the prognosis of stage III-N2 LUAD patients. The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database collected first-hand information from a large number of LUAD patients.

The impact of boosting market of automobile vehicles in China during last decade on thoracic injury needs to be defined. This study aimed to review and analyze the demographic and clinical characteristics of RTCR thoracic injuries in China.

This paper proposes a method for automatically extracting features from an arbitrary solid model of sheet-metal parts; whose characteristics are used for classification and graph-based representation of the sheet-metal features to extract the features embodied in a sheet-metal part. The extracting feature process can be divided for valid checking of the model geometry, feature matching, and feature relationship.
