Identifying the parameters of multispan rigid frames is challenging because of their complex structures and large computational workloads. This paper presents a stiffness separation method for the static response parameter identification of multispan rigid frames. The stiffness separation method segments the global stiffness matrix of the overall structure into the stiffness matrices of its substructures, which are to be computed, thereby reducing the computational workload and improving the efficiency of parameter identification.

The exploitation of advanced electromagnetic functional devices is perceived as the effective prescription to deal with environmental contamination and energy deficiency. From the perspective of observing and imitating nature, pine branch-like zirconium dioxide/cobalt nanotubes@nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes are synthesized victoriously through maneuverable electrospinning process and follow-up thermal treatments. In particular, introducing carbon nanotubes on the surface of hollow nanofibers to construct hierarchical architecture vastly promoted the material's dielectric properties by significantly augmenting specific surface area, generating abundant heterogeneous interfaces, and inducing the formation of defects.

In general, at the same level of exercise, female athletes are three to six times more likely to injure an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) than male athletes. Female athletes also had higher rates of ACL injury than males in a single-leg landing task after a backcourt backhand side overhead stroke in badminton. In many previous studies, stiffness of the musculoskeletal system in the lower limbs has been reported as a potential factor contributing to differences in ACL injury rates between genders.

Methane (CH), as the main component of natural gas and coal mine gas, is widely used in daily life and industrial processes and its leakage always causes undesirable misadventures. Thus, the rapid detection of low concentration methane is quite necessary. However, due to its robust chemical stability resulting from the strong tetrahedral-symmetry structure, the methane molecules are usually chemically inert to the sensing layers in detectors, making the rapid and efficient alert a big challenge.
