Introduction: Adolescence is a sensitive transitional period accompanied by great physical, mental, and behavioral changes. Therefore, maintaining physical and mental health is crucial to the growth and development of adolescents. As one of the important indicators of mental health, the influencing factors of life satisfaction have been widely concerned by scholars.

Article Synopsis
  • The research focuses on the mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the squeaking silkmoth, Rhodinia fugax, aiming to understand its characteristics and phylogenetic relationships.
  • The mitogenome of R. fugax is 15,334 base pairs long and includes 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 22 transfer RNA genes, following the typical structure found in its family.
  • Phylogenetic analysis places R. fugax within the Attacini tribe, highlighting its unique traits and marking the first genomic study on the Rhodinia genus.

A novel method, to the best of our knowledge, of fiber transfer delay (FTD) measurement based on phase quantization and delay synthesis is proposed and demonstrated. By detecting the differential phase shifts of a set of frequency-multiplied RF signals transmission through the fiber link with and without the FTD under the test, the ${2}\pi $2π phase ambiguity problem can be solved. To avoid the phase quantization error near the digital quantization boundary, a self-check and error-correction method is proposed so as to greatly improve the reliability of measurement.

A tunable optoelectronic oscillator (OEO)-based photonic radio frequency (RF) heterodyne receiver with the capability of image frequency rejection is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The OEO incorporating a dual-electrode Mach-Zehnder modulator (DEMZM) operates as a high quality local oscillator (LO) and a broadband mixer simultaneously, with one electrode port of the DEMZM used for the feedback of the generated LO signal and the other port for receiving external RF signals. Two channels of immediate frequency (IF) signals can be achieved in optical domain by beating the +1-order sideband of LO with the +1-order sideband of input RFs and beating the -1-order sideband of LO with the -1-order sideband of input RFs correspondingly.

In this paper, the frequency-dependent noise figure of a continuous photonic time-stretch system is theoretically analyzed and experimentally demonstrated. Mathematic analysis discloses that the frequency-dependent noise figure in the continuous photonic time-stretch system is mainly owing to the dispersion-induced phase shift in the link. In the experiment, a completely continuous signal is reconstructed with time-interleaved joining of four sections of time-stretched signals from optical wavelength-division de-multiplexing channels.

A highly sensitive demodulation approach of a vibration-induced phase shift based on a low-noise optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The vibration-induced optical phase variation is directly converted to the electrical oscillating signal of the OEO with carrier phase-shifted double-sideband (CPS-DSB) modulation, which is realized by cascading a dual-output Mach-Zehnder modulator (DOMZM) and a fiber interferometer. Theoretically, within a CPS-DSB modulated OEO, the minimum detectable optical phase shift is determined by the phase noise achievable, and the sensitivity of the optical phase shift demodulation no longer depends on its frequency.

Objective: To explore the source and morphology of supernumerary markers from patients with 47,XYY/47,XY, +mar and supermale syndrome.

Methods: Conventional GTG banded karyotyping and dual-color fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were performed on 21 such patients.

Results: Among these cases, 18 had their small supernumerary marker derived from the Y chromosome.

Tumor proliferation, drug resistance and cell stemness are major difficulties that are encountered during breast cancer therapy and are often responsible for disease progression and cancer-related mortality. is considered to be an invasion gene in breast cancer. However, how regulates breast cancer cell proliferation and stemness remains unclear.

Objective: To investigate the genetic cause for a large family affected with typeⅠosteogenesis imperfecta.

Methods: Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral venous blood samples. The entire coding region and intron-exon boundaries of the COL1A1 gene were subjected to PCR amplification and direct sequencing.

Background: China's healthcare system often struggles to meet the needs of its 900 million people living in rural areas due to major challenges in preventive medicine and management of chronic diseases. Here we address some of these challenges by equipping village doctors (ViDs) with Health Information Technology and developing an electronic health record (EHR) system which collects individual patient information electronically to aid with implementation of chronic disease management programs.

Methods: An EHR system based on a cloud-computing architecture was developed and deployed in Xilingol county of Inner Mongolia using various computing resources (hardware and software) to deliver services over the health network using Internet when available.

Objective: To explore the risk factors of gastric cancer in the rural area of Henan province.

Methods: Three hundred and twenty-five families with gastric cancer and 325 control families (1010 persons in each group) were selected among the rural residents in 4 counties of Henan province. Totally 2020 people were surveyed and assessed using population-based case-control family study.

The sediments of Haidong bay and Macun bay in Dianchi Lakes' experimental area were studied. The sediment column was cut in every 3cm, and the following items are tested, such as total phosphorus, phosphorus species, which include labile phosphate, Fe,Al-P, Ca-P and residual-P, total nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen. The results showed that the loads of nitrogen and phosphorus of these two bays increased quickly in recent years.
