Objective: To investigate the effect of adrenal surgery on blood pressure (BP) improvements in patients with hormone-negative adrenal adenoma (HNA) concomitant with hypertension and analyze associated prognostic factors.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of patients with HNA and hypertension and patients with aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) and hypertension who underwent adrenal surgery at our center between 2019 and 2022. Hypertension outcomes were evaluated in all patients and subjects were divided into three groups according to follow-up BP and the administration of anti-hypertensive agents: a clinical curation group, an improvement group, and a no-improvement group.

Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors of the urinary system, with a high recurrence and metastasis rate. Telomeres and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been documented playing critical roles in cancer progression. However, the prognostic significance of telomere-related lncRNA (TRLs) in KIRC is less well-defined.

Tripartite motif containing 46 was initially identified as the oncogene in several human tumors. However, the clinical value and potential functions of tripartite motif containing 46 (TRIM46) in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remained largely unclear. The expressing patterns, clinical involvement, and prognostic values of TRIM46 were analyzed using the data obtained from TCGA and GEO databases.

Mutations of the CYP17A1 gene could cause complete or partial and combined or isolated 17α-hydroxylase/17,20-lyase deficiency (17OHD), which is characterized by hypertension, hypokalemia, and abnormal development of the genitalia. Most of the mutations are located in the coding sequence, and very few are located in the intronic region. The aim of this study is to investigate the novel intronic CYP17A1 mutation and its possible influence on phenotype.

Objective: This study aimed to present our experience of concomitant management of renal calculi and recurrent ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) with percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and antegrade balloon dilation.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 31 patients who underwent PCNL and antegrade balloon dilation for treatment of renal calculi and recurrent UPJO. The inclusion criterion was the presence of UPJO after failed pyeloplasty with ipsilateral renal calculi.

This study was to investigate the involvement of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) colon cancer-associated transcript-1 (CCAT1) in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and to further uncover its underlying mechanism. In this study, the expression of CCAT1 and Livin of RCC tissues or cells was determined using qRT-PCR (quantitative real-time PCR) and western blot, respectively. RNA pulldown and RIP (RNA-Binding Protein Immunoprecipitation) assays were performed to examine the sequence interaction between CCAT1 and Livin.
