Purpose To assess the pharmacokinetic (PK) effect of proton pump inhibitors on the novel poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor fluzoparib, and observe the safety of its co-administration with omeprazole. Patients and methods Sixteen male healthy volunteers (HVs) were enrolled in a single-center, single-arm, open-label, fixed-sequence study. HVs took fluzoparib (100 mg, p.

Article Synopsis
  • * A total of 34 subjects were analyzed, divided into elderly and young groups, and received a specific dosing regimen of dexmedetomidine with blood samples collected for analysis over 10 hours.
  • * Results indicated that dexmedetomidine's pharmacokinetics could be described by a three-compartment model, with age, body weight, and alanine aminotransferase levels identified as significant factors affecting drug clearance and volume.

Objective: The application of dexmedetomidine in patient sedation is generally accepted, though its clinical application is limited because of the lack of information detailing the specific properties among diverse populations of patients. The aim of this study was to compare the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of dexmedetomidine between elderly and young patients during spinal anesthesia.

Methods: 34 subjects (elderly group: n = 15; young group: n = 19) with spinal anesthesia were enrolled in the present study following the inclusion/exclusion criteria detailed below.

Antigen-presenting cells including dendritic cells (DCs) express mannan receptors (MR) on their surface, which can be exploited in cancer therapy by designing immune-stimulatory viruses coated with mannan-modified capsids that then bind to DCs and initiate a potent immune response. Although the combination of anti-angiogenesis and cancer immunotherapy agents has a synergistic antitumor effect, more effective strategies for delivering such combinations are still required. Here we report the design and application of mannan-modified adenovirus that expresses both telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2).

Epidemiological and experimental evidence has shown that psychological stress can propel cancer progression. However, its role in anti-angiogenic therapy is not well understood. We previously found that exogenous norepinephrine attenuated the effect of sunitinib, a multi-targeted anti-angiogenic agent, in a mouse melanoma model.

Objectives: We aim to obtain the intra-subject coefficient of variability of a highly variable antidepressant agomelatine in humans, and propose an adjusted bioequivalence assessment strategy.

Methods: A single-dose, randomized crossover design was conducted in four periods (reference administered thrice, placebo administered once) separated by seven days. A validated LC-MS/MS assay was used to measure drug concentrations in serial blood samples.

Purpose: Dendritic cell (DC) vaccines are a promising immunotherapeutic approach for treatment and prevention of cancer. While this methodology is widely accepted, it also has some limitations. Antigen-presenting cells including DCs express the mannan receptor (MR).
