Trypsin is one of the most diverse and widely studied protease hydrolases. However, the diversity and characteristics of the Trypsin superfamily of genes have not been well understood, and their role in insecticide resistance is yet to be investigated. In this study, a total of 342 Trypsin genes were identified and classified into seven families based on homology, characteristic domains and phylogenetics in Anopheles sinensis, and the LY-Domain and CLECT-Domain families are specific to the species.

Unraveling the origin of Helmholtz capacitance is of paramount importance for understanding the interfacial structure and electrostatic potential distribution of electric double layers (EDL). In this work, we combined the methods of ab initio molecular dynamics and classical molecular dynamics and modeled electrified Cu(100)/electrolyte and graphene/electrolyte interfaces for comparison. It was proposed that the Helmholtz capacitance is composed of three parts connected in series: the usual solvent capacitance, water chemisorption induced capacitance, and Pauling repulsion caused gap capacitance.

Background: Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs), a multifunctional protein family, are involved in insecticide resistance. However, a systematic analysis of GSTs in Anopheles sinensis, an important vector for malaria transmission, is lacking. In this study, we investigated the diversity and characteristics of GST genes, and analyzed their expression patterns and functions associated with insecticide resistance in this species.

Potential of zero charge (PZC) is an important reference for understanding the interface charge and structure at a given potential, and its difference from the work function of metal surface (Φ) is defined as the Volta potential difference (ΔΦ). In this work, we model 11 metal/water interfaces with ab initio molecular dynamics. Interestingly, we find ΔΦ is linearly correlated with the adsorption energy of water () on the metal surface.

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide. Anthracyclines, alone or in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents, are the most effective chemotherapy agents against breast cancer. However, the dose-dependent cardiotoxicity of anthracyclines is a serious drawback in clinical treatment.

A method for detecting the organophosphorus pesticides residue and aflatoxins in China herbal tea has been developed by UPLC-MS/MS coupled with vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME). The extraction conditions for vortex-assisted DLLME extraction were optimized using single-factor experiments and response surface design. The optimum conditions for the experiment were the pH 5.

Objective: To explore the magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (MR-DTI) features of in the late stage of Wistar rat C6 brain glioma, and the relationship between fractional anisotropy value and tumor microarchitecture.

Methods: The concentration of more than 1.0 × 10/10 μL glioma cells and complete medium were injected stereotactically into the right caudate nucleus of the experimental group (n = 35) and control group (n = 10), respectively.

Purpose: To evaluate the cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of bishydroxycoumarin (BHC) against human glioma cells and to study their mode of action.

Methods: Three cells were used in the experiments. MTT and LDH assays were used to assess the cytotoxic effects of BHC while an in vitro wound healing assay was used to study the effect of BHC on cell migration.

Objective: To explore the antitumor role of the attenuated Salmonella typhimurium ΔppGpp with inducible cytolysin A (ClyA) in advanced stage of glioma.

Materials And Methods: The C6 rat glioma cells were orthotopically implanted by surgery into the caudate nucleus of rat brains. The rats were then randomly divided into the treatment group (SL + ClyA) (n=12), negative control group (SL) (n=12), and control group (phosphate-buffered saline [PBS]) (n=12).

A flexible octacarboxylate ligand, tetrakis[(3,5-dicarboxyphenyl)oxamethyl]methane (H8X), has been used to construct a highly porous metal-organic framework (In2X)(Me2NH2)2(DMF)9(H2O)5 (1), which is comprised of octahedral and cuboctahedral cages and shows a rare (4,8)-connected scu topology. Gas adsorption studies of N2, H2 on the actived 1 at 77 K reveal a Langmuir surface area of 1707 m(2) g(-1), a BET surface area of 1555 m(2) g(-1), a total pore volume of 0.62 cm(3) g(-1), and a H2 uptake of 1.
