Interacting and joint effects of assisted reproductive technology and gestational diabetes mellitus on preterm birth and the mediating role of gestational diabetes mellitus: a cohort study using a propensity score.

Objective: To investigate whether gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) mediates the association between assisted reproductive technology (ART) and preterm birth (PTB), and to examine the interaction and joint effects of ART and GDM on PTB.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study utilized data from 20,721 mothers with singleton live births at Sichuan Jinxin Xinan Women and Children's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023. The exposures were ART and GDM, and the outcome was PTB.

Fe-catalyzed Decarbonylative Alkylative Spirocyclization of -Arylcinnamamides: Access to Alkylated 1-Azaspirocyclohexadienones.

For the convenient introduction of simple linear/branched alkyl groups into biologically important azaspirocyclohexadienones, a practical Fe-catalyzed decarbonylative cascade spiro-cyclization of N-aryl cinnamamides with aliphatic aldehydes to provide alkylated 1-azaspiro-cyclohexadienones was developed. Aliphatic aldehydes were oxidative decarbonylated into primary, secondary and tertiary alkyl radicals conveniently and allows for the subsequent cascade construction of dual C(sp)-C(sp) and C=O bonds via radical addition, spirocyclization and oxidation sequence.

Suppression of inflammatory response by flurbiprofen following focal cerebral ischemia involves the NF-κB signaling pathway.

Some studies of animal models of middle cerebral artery occlusion indicate that inflammation plays a key role in the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia and secondary damage. Flurbiprofen has been suggested to alleviate cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in both focal and global cerebral ischemia models, but the mechanisms underlying the protective action are still incompletely understood. In this study we want to investigate the protective effect of flurbiprofen after transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rats and the role of the NF-κB signaling pathway on this neuroprotective effect.
