Multiple myeloma (MM)-induced bone disease affects not only patients' quality of life but also their overall survival. Our previous work demonstrated that the gut microbiome plays a crucial role in MM progression and drug resistance. However, the role of altered gut microbiota in MM bone disease remains unclear.

Methods: After CIR model was established, and husc were transplanted into the lateral ventricle of rats, neurological severe score (NSS) andgene network analysis were performed. Firstly, we input the keywords "Cerebral reperfusion" and "human urine stem cells" into Genecard database and merged data with findings from PubMed so as to get their targets genes, and downloaded them to make Venny intersection plot.
The avian optic tectum (OT) has been studied for its diverse functions, yet a comprehensive molecular landscape at the cellular level has been lacking. In this study, we applied spatial transcriptome sequencing and single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) to explore the cellular organization and molecular characteristics of the avian OT from two species: and . We identified precise layer structures and provided comprehensive layer-specific signatures of avian OT.

Lymphocyte Cytosolic Protein 1 (LCP1) facilitates cell migration and immune responses by aiding in actin polymerization, cytoskeletal rearrangements, and phagocytosis. We have demonstrated that the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) Maclpil silencing in monocyte-derived macrophages (MoDMs) led to LCP1 inhibition, reducing ischemic brain damage.

In particular, the elderly patients faced considerable psychological stress due to various environmental and medical factors during the outbreak. This study aims to examine changes in mental health trends among non-cardiac surgical patients aged 65 and above in China during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: In this multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial, 448 postmenopausal women aged 50-85 years with osteoporosis were enrolled at 49 centers in China and were randomly assigned (3:1) to receive 60 mg of the denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) or placebo subcutaneously every 6 months for 1 year. Lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) change was the primary endpoint.
Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the safety of the ultrasound contrast agent sulfur hexafluoride microbubbles in a large group of patients referred for routine contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS).
Methods: A retrospective assessment was made of all patients that received sulfur hexafluoride microbubbles intravenously for CEUS at 24 centers between January 2006 and April 2019. Patient demographic details, examination type, and the dose of sulfur hexafluoride microbubbles administered were recorded with specific adverse events (AEs) documentation tools at each center.
Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is the leading Category C infectious disease affecting millions of children in China every year. In the context of global climate change, the understanding and quantification of the impact of weather factors on human health are particularly critical to the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. The aim of this study was to quantify the attributable burden of a combined bioclimatic indicator (apparent temperature) on HFMD and to identify temperature-specific sensitive populations.

Objective: The study aimed to investigate the sensitivity and specificity of tests using sniffer dogs to diagnose PD.
Background: Individual immune-related alternative splicing (AS) events have been found to be significant in immune regulation and cancer prognosis. However, a comprehensive analysis of AS events in cancer cells based on immune-related genes (IRGs) has not been performed, and its clinical value is unknown.
Methods: Colon cancer cases with AS data were obtained from TCGA, and then, we identified overall survival-related AS events (OS-ASEs) based on IRGs by univariate analyses.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the knowledge and attitudes of patients with cancer of palliative care and their preferences regarding end-of-life care in mainland China.
Design: A cross-sectional study.
Setting: This study was conducted in a tertiary cancer hospital.
Drug resistance of cancer cells is associated with redox homeostasis. The mechanism of acquired resistance of cancer cells to antitumor drugs is not well understood. Our previous studies revealed that drug resistance and highly expressed P-glycoprotein (P-gp) of MCF-7 breast cancer cells was dependent on intracellular redox homeostasis and declined capacity for scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Carcinogenesis was postulated as the result of the local buildup of strong acids such as hydrogenchloride which may trigger metastasis. A previous study revealed that bicarbonate raised tumor pH and suppressed metastases. The phosphate groups in DNA on neutrophil extracellular traps possess hydrogen bonding capacity and can accept protons.

In this context, the combination strategy may be a promising approach to overcome this barrier. Here, we report the preclinical efficacy of a novel strategy combining ABT-199 with triptolide (TPL), a natural product extracted from a traditional Chinese medicine, in AML.

From January 2017 to March 2019, stratified cluster sampling was performed to select 4368 nurses as respondents from 54 hospitals at different levels in 14 prefectures and cities of Hunan. The current status of insulin injection-related needlestick injuries was investigated, including the high-risk links causing insulin injection-related needlestick injuries during the use of insulin syringe (pen) , time and number of needlestick injuries, infection after needlestick injuries, and reporting of needlestick injuries, and a statistical analysis was performed.

Since 1980, China has enforced a "one child" policy. With the implementation of the Universal Two-Child Policy in 2016, every couple is allowed to have two children instead of one, which will lead to more pregnancies, births, and advanced maternal age.

Concentrated cargoes from parent cells are enveloped in exosomes, which are cell specific and may have functions in the recipient cell, reflecting a novel physiological and pathological mechanism in disease development. As a transmitter, exosomes shuttle to different cells or tissues and mediate communications among these organelles.

Previous studies have shown that endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress plays an important role in the pathophysiology of depression, and current research suggests that brain-derived neurotrophic factor precursor (proBDNF) is involved in the development of depression. However, the relationship between ER and proBDNF in the pathophysiology of depression is not well elucidated.

Substance P (SP) is a neuropeptide that is released from sensory nerve endings and is widely present in nerve fibers. It acts on bones and related tissues by binding to receptors, thereby regulating bone metabolism, cartilage metabolism, and fracture healing. SP has attracted widespread attention as a signaling substance that can be recognized by both the immune system and the nervous system.
