In this study, we found that miR-429 was downregulated in cervical cancer (CC) tissues and suppressed cell viability and proliferation while promoting apoptosis in CC cells. IKKβ was a novel target gene of miR-429 and ectopic expression of IKKβ abrogated the phenotypes induced by miR-429.
