Traditional polymer solid electrolytes (PSEs) suffer from low Li conductivity, poor kinetics and safety concerns. Here, we present a novel porous MOF glass gelled polymer electrolyte (PMG-GPE) prepared via a top-down strategy, which features a unique three-dimensional interconnected graded-aperture structure for efficient ion transport. Comprehensive analyses, including time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), Solid-state 7Li magic-angle-spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS-NMR), Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations, and electrochemical tests, quantify the pore structures, revealing their relationship with ion conductivity that increases and then decreases as macropore proportion rises.

Background: The combination therapy of the B-Raf proto-oncogene (BRAF) inhibitor dabrafenib and the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK) inhibitor Trametinib has shown favorable outcomes in patients initially identified with BRAF mutations. However, there are currently no large-scale study data focusing on the use of a triple therapy regimen of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) plus dabrafenib and trametinib in patients with newly concomitant BRAF mutations after acquiring resistance to EGFR-TKIs. Our study aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of the triple therapy regimen through a multi-center real-world experience.

Targeted degradation of membrane proteins represents an attractive strategy for eliminating pathogenesis-related proteins. Aptamer-based chimeras hold great promise as membrane protein degraders, however, their degradation efficacy is often hindered by the limited structural stability and the risk of off-target effects due to the non-covalent interaction with target proteins. We here report the first design of a covalent aptamer-based autophagosome-tethering chimera (CApTEC) for the enhanced autophagic degradation of cell-surface proteins, including transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) and nucleolin (NCL).

This study aimed to develop a novel human testicular tissue chip within a microfluidic device employing computer-aided design software and photolithography technology. Polydimethylsiloxane was used as the primary material to ensure marked gas permeability and no biotoxicity, enabling effective mimicry of the testicular microenvironment.

We performed a retrospective cohort study using data from the Pediatric Cardiac Care Consortium, a US-based registry of cardiac interventions in 47 participating centres between 1982 and 2011. Patients included in this cohort analysis had select congenital heart surgery representing the spectrum of severity as determined by STAT and Risk Adjusted Classification for Congenital Heart Surgery-1 and were less than 21 years of age.

Although the TRPC5 channel is one of the essential potential target, no drugs against TRPC5 channels have been granted in the market to date. In this study, based on the structure of hit compound ph1, we further synthesied 49 compounds of novel quinazolinone and heterocyclic fusion pyrimidinone derivatives, and their activities were evaluated by electrophysiological assays.

Members of the family of GLUTAMATE RECEPTOR-LIKE (GLR) proteins are known to act as amino acid-gated Ca-permeable channels and to have signalling roles in diverse plant processes. To investigate the possible role of GLRs in the root architectural response to L-Glu, we screened a collection of mutants with T-DNA insertions in each of the 20 AtGLR genes.

Second harmonic generations (SHGs) have been proven to be generated individually in topological corner states and topological edge states. However, the SHGs in TDSs have not been discussed so far.

Unfortunately, the lack of inherent healing capacity of the TBI, insufficient mechanical properties, and abnormal and persistent inflammation during repair are the key factors leading to suboptimal healing of the rotator cuff. Therefore, a high-strength rotator cuff repair material capable of regulating the unbalanced immune response and enhancing the regeneration of the TBI is urgently needed.

Recent progress in inverted perovskite solar cells (IPSCs) mainly focused on NiO modification and perovskite (PVK) regulation to enhance efficiency and stability. However, most works address only monofunctional modifications, and identical molecules with the ability to simultaneously optimize NiO interface and perovskite bulk phase have been rarely reported. This work proposes a dual modification approach using 4-amino-3,5-dichlorobenzotrifluoride (DCTM) to optimize both NiO upper interfaces and reduction of bulk defects in perovskite.

Methods: This retrospective case-control study was conducted between January 2016 and December 2023, involving patients with late CSP (≥ 8 weeks) who received local MTX injection combined with either hysteroscopic or laparoscopic surgery. Cesarean scar pregnancy was classified as type I, II, or III based on the direction of growth of the gestational sac and the residual myometrial thickness as assessed by ultrasound.

At present, there is no consensus on the relationship between selenium (Se) exposure and human serum lipid metabolism. The etiological role of high-Se exposure in lipid markers, dyslipidemia, and nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD) remains unclear. We used serum untargeted metabolomics analysis to evaluate whether high-Se exposure is cross-sectionally associated with lipid metabolism in adults from high-Se exposure area (n = 112) and control area (n = 101) in Hubei Province, China.

Copper (Cu), a trace element with redox activity, is both essential and toxic to living organisms. Its redox properties make it a cofactor for a variety of proteins, but it also causes oxidative stress, hence the need to maintain intracellular copper homeostasis. However, the role of copper in the regulation of antioxidant defense in bacteria remains unclear, and the involved transcription factors remain to be explored.
