Introduction: Segmentectomy and lobectomy are the main surgical procedures for early-stage lung cancer. However, few studies have analysed patient-reported outcomes after segmentectomy versus lobectomy. This study aims to compare patient-reported outcomes-such as symptoms, daily functioning and quality of life-between thoracoscopic segmentectomy and lobectomy for early-stage lung cancer during the 1 year after surgery.

Forty-eight rats were randomly divided into control, 10 ng/g T-2 toxin, 100 ng/g T-2 toxin, Se-deficient, 10 ng/g T-2 toxin and Se deficiency combined, and 100 ng/g T-2 toxin and Se deficiency combined groups for a 4-week intervention. The kidney Se concentration was measured to evaluate the construction of animal models of Se deficiency.

Methods: Wistar rats were intraperitoneally injected with lipopolysaccharide, and the lncRNA and mRNA expression profiles in the aorta were evaluated using microarrays. The functions of the differentially expressed mRNAs were analysed using Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses.
Due to the complexity of industrial solid waste, heavy metals and organics can be enriched in leachate. While leachate is difficult to handle, it can also cause clog of the leachate collection system (LCS), increasing the risk of leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to study the clogging process of LCS in industrial solid waste landfills (ISWLs).

Different gene families have role in the regulation of the RdDM pathway and there is a lack of information about these gene families in the grapes ( L.).

Hybrid nanomaterials consisting of at least two constituents with distinct compositions and properties, usually organic and inorganic, have been engineered with integrated functions and enormous potential in boosting cancer immunotherapy. This review provides a summary of hybrid nanomaterials reported for cancer immunotherapy, including nanoscale metal-organic frameworks, metal-phenolic networks, mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles, metallofullerene nanomaterials, polymer-lipid, and biomacromolecule-based hybrid nanomaterials.

In this study, uniaxial compression tests were conducted on foliated phyllite with different foliation angles under dry and water-saturated conditions. The impacts of water content and foliation angle on the stress-strain curves and basic mechanical properties of the Phyllite were analyzed.

So far, the distinct mechanism(s) of IR still needs further exploration. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is a class of non-protein coding RNA molecules with a length greater than 200 nucleotides.

This study explored the association between sex hormones, pelvic bone mineral density, and UI, and analyzed the association between pelvic bone mineral density-combined sex hormones and UI in women.
Method: The data of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013-2014 were used in this cross-sectional study.

Hypothesis: Classical (solid particles stabilized) Pickering emulsions have been widely studied due to the irreversible adsorption of solid particles at the oil-water interface. Mesoporous hollow silica microspheres (MHSMs) are promising stabilizers for Pickering emulsion owing to its larger specific surface area and lower apparent density. However, this type of Pickering emulsion has not attracted enough attention.

Many regulatory regions are marked by histone modifications, which can be assayed by chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by sequencing (ChIP-seq). Sequence reads from ChIP-seq form peaks at putative regulatory regions, which may reflect the amount of regulatory activity at this region.

However, there is currently no effective strategy for synchronously stimulating the expressions of ATPS key subunits to restore its assembly. This study determined the roles of mitochondrial protein FAM3A in regulating the activity and assembly of ATPS in hepatocytes.

The mechanisms involved in protecting G4s and maintaining genome stability have not been fully elucidated. Here, we demonstrated that RAD52 plays an important role in suppressing DSB accumulation at G4s, and RAD52-deficient cells are sensitive to G4-stabilizing compounds.

Minimally invasive cyst decompression and continuous drainage are appropriate to manage clinical symptoms. We reviewed our experience of the past 11 years to determine the long-term effects of neuroendoscopic surgery (NES) combined with Ommaya reservoir (OR) for the treatment of cystic craniopharyngiomas.

Many existing studies primarily focused on the classification of two classes of brain tumors and the Ki-67LI of gliomas. This study aimed to develop a preoperative non-invasive radiomics pipeline based on multiparametric-MRI to classify-three types of brain tumors, glioblastoma (GBM), metastasis (MET) and primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), and to predict their corresponding Ki-67LI.

Fibrosis of the liver is a degenerative alteration that occurs in the majority of chronic liver disorders. Further progression can lead to cirrhosis, liver failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma, which can seriously affect the health and lives of patients. The field of liver fibrosis research has flourished in the last 20 years, with approximately 9000 articles retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database alone.

However, the key regulators in the intracellular trafficking of HER2 and their impacts for cancer progression remain largely unknown. In this study, through a genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screening for key genes affecting the peritoneal disseminated metastasis of ovarian carcinoma, we identified a member of COMMD family, that is, COMMD3, as a key regulator in the endosomal trafficking of HER2.
