Activated alumina-based composite oxide support is a commonly used support in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalysts, which not only retains the performance advantages of each component in the composite oxide support, but also significantly improves the defects of a single activated alumina support, such as the strong metal-support force of interaction. In this study, NiO-AlO composite support was prepared by introducing NiO-modified AlO, and MoS/NiO-AlO catalysts were prepared for the hydrodesulfurization of COS by liquid phase reduction method. In the COS hydrogenation reaction, the MoS/NiO-AlO catalyst achieved complete conversion of COS at 220 °C and showed more than 99.

Adequate revegetation of abandoned farmland acts as a defence against desertification and soil loss, and can help remove carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thereby playing an important role in regulating regional climate change. Legume, a nitrogen-fixation species, which could effectively improve vegetation coverage to control soil erosion, was widely used for revegetation. However, the dynamics of soil and plant development after legume introduction on abandoned farmland remain unclear.

In this study, we selected polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), and polystyrene (PS) as representative microplastics (MPs) to systematically investigate the sorption behavior of tetracycline (TC) antibiotics by MPs. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy, and adsorption experiments were applied to assess the sorption behavior of MPs. The results demonstrated that the sorption of TC by MPs was most favorable under neutral conditions, where a modest increase in the salt ion concentration enhanced the adsorption of TC by MPs.
