Background: The heterogeneity of tumors significantly impacts on colorectal cancer (CRC) progression. However, the influence of this heterogeneity on the spatial architecture of CRC remains largely unknown.
Methods: Spatial transcriptomic (ST) analysis of AOM/DSS-induced colorectal cancer (CRC), integrated with single-cell RNA sequencing, generated a comprehensive spatial atlas of CRC.
Background: Cervical adenocarcinoma (ADC) is more aggressive compared to other types of cervical cancer (CC), such as squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) and tumor heterogeneity are recognized as pivotal factors in cancer progression and therapy. However, the disparities in TIME and heterogeneity between ADC and SCC are poorly understood.

Using proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (H-MRS), this study aimed to determine whether lower pretreatment GABA and Glx levels in the medial frontal cortex, a region implicated in MDD pathophysiology, are associated with better antidepressant treatment response. Participants with MDD (N = 74) were antidepressant naïve or medication-free for at least three weeks before imaging.

The primary objective of this study was to develop the role of shared cuproptosis-related differentially expressed genes (CRDEGs) and ferroptosis-related differentially expressed genes (FRDEGs) in AAA.

However, contradictions in a large number of studies and suboptimal efficacy of drugs targeting glycolysis have prompted us to further deepen our understanding of glucose metabolism in tumors. Here, we review recent studies on mitochondrial overload, nuclear localization of metabolizing enzymes, and intranuclear TCA (nTCA) in the context of the anomalies produced by inhibition of the Warburg effect.

However, it is challenging to achieve accurate segmentation due to low contrast and blood flow noises presented in the images. In addition, the algorithm should be light-weight to be deployed for practical clinical applications.

However, radiotherapy resistance is the main cause of therapeutic failure in patients. Our previous study revealed that Adiponectin Receptor 1 (AdipoR1) is involved in regulating radiation resistance in liver cancer patients treated with stereotactic body radiotherapy.

This study identifies distinctive miRNA signatures in OSAHS with Metabolic Syndrome (Mets) patients from healthy subjects, that could serve as diagnostic biomarkers or describe differential molecular mechanisms with potential therapeutic implications. In this study, OSAHS with MetS patients showed significantly higher Apnea Hyponea Index(AHI), but lower oxygen desaturation index(ODI 4/h) and minimum pulse oxygen saturation(SpO).

In ferroelectric materials, significantly distinct photoelectric features should be observed if they are in diverse polarization states, unveiling a possible pathway to realize multifunctional optoelectronic logic gates through ferroelectric polarization design. In this study, the Ti self-doping strategy is first applied to 0.

To address the present situation, we conduct the first study on the impact of multi-spectral information (MSI) on RLS. Our experimental results show that incorporating MSI significantly improves segmentation accuracy for retinal layer optical coherence tomography (OCT) images.

The skeletal muscles play a key role in disability following stroke. Although many studies have reported the prevalence and risk factors of sarcopenia in patients with stroke, the results have not been synthesized.

This study investigates the inhibitory effects of β-glucan extracted from Candida albicans on lung cancer progression, focusing on its impact on TAM polarization and the induction of ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death.
Methods: Utilizing both in vivo animal models and in vitro cellular assays, we assessed the impact of β-glucan on tumor growth, cellular proliferation, and migration.
Background: Sono-photodynamic therapy (SPDT), the combination of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT), is a promising tumor treatment method. However, the hypoxic tumor microenvironment greatly compromises the efficacy of SPDT. Pyroptosis, a new type of programmed cell death, is mainly induced by some chemotherapeutic drugs in the current research, and rarely by SPDT.

Current treatments, including corticosteroids, face limitations due to variable patient responses and side effects. This study explores the therapeutic potential of Cistanche, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, in an asthmatic mouse model induced by house dust mites (HDM).

Stimulating cardiomyocyte (CM) dedifferentiation and cell cycle activity (DACCA) is essential for triggering daughter CM formation. In addition to transcriptional processes, RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are emerging as crucial post-transcriptional players in regulating CM DACCA. However, whether post-transcriptional regulation of CM DACCA by RBPs could effectively trigger daughter CM formation remains unknown.

Background: Post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) is one of the major complications after a stroke. Therefore, it is necessary to identify different categories of cognitive function in older adults with stroke and to explore factors associated with different levels of cognitive function in older adults after stroke.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted using convenience sampling to collect data from 1076 older adults with stroke from 5 hospitals in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China, from June 2022 to August 2023.
Background: Chloramphenicol (CAP) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and its continuous use in human medicine, livestock has resulted disturbances in ecosystem stability. The complex background and low concentration of CAP in aquatic environments present significant scientific challenges for its sensitive detection. Currently detection techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) are hindered by their complex procedures and high costs.
