Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess how accurately ultrasonography (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) identify issues in the midline structures of the fetal brain.
  • Thirty-two fetuses were examined with both US and MRI, and results were compared with outcomes after birth or autopsy.
  • The findings revealed that while US had a high accuracy rate of 93.8%, MRI proved to be more accurate at 100%, highlighting the importance of using both imaging methods in prenatal diagnostics.

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines how power Doppler ultrasound can be used to diagnose Sirenomelia Sequence in fetuses by analyzing the abdominal aorta's characteristics.
  • It compares the two-dimensional and three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound images of fetuses with Sirenomelia to those of normal fetuses, highlighting differences in vascular structures.
  • The findings indicate that specific changes in the abdominal aorta and its branches in Sirenomelia fetuses provide valuable diagnostic information for prenatal identification of this condition.
