Purpose: To construct a nomogram for evaluation of the recurrence risk of upper urinary tract stones in patients.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 657 patients with upper urinary tract stones and divided them into stone recurrence group and non-recurrence group. Blood routine, urine routine, biochemical, and urological CT examinations were searched from the electronic medical record, relevant clinical data were collected, including age, BMI, stones number and location, maximum diameter, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and relevant blood and urine parameters.
Background: Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is the most common subtype of SCA without effective treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the comparative efficacy of low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS) in a larger cohort of SCA3 patients.
Methods: One hundred and twenty patients with SCA3 were randomly assigned to the 3 groups: 40 patients in the 1 Hz rTMS, 40 in the iTBS and 40 in the sham group.
Molecular representations are of fundamental importance for the modeling and analysing molecular systems. The successes in drug design and materials discovery have been greatly contributed by molecular representation models. In this paper, we present a computational framework for molecular representation that is mathematically rigorous and based on the persistent Dirac operator.

However, the lung is a regionally heterogenous organ with proximal and distal airway and vascular compartments of different structures and functions that may be altered as part of disease pathogenesis. We previously described decellularized normal whole human lung extracellular matrix (ECM) glycosaminoglycan (GAG) composition and functional ability to bind matrix-associated growth factors.

Renal ischemia reperfusion injury (RIRI) is an inevitable complication during renal surgery. Histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6), a key member of the histone deacetylase family, is associated with multiple pathologies, including renal diseases. However, whether HDAC6 could become a potential therapeutic target for clinical application of RIRI remained to be proven.

It is still highly desired yet challenging to construct a multi-drug loaded wound dressing that can release different drugs at different times to meet specific requirements towards different healing stages. Herein, a wound dressing was developed based on thermoresponsive zwitterionic nanocapsules (ZNs) that were sandwiched between two double-layered fabrics to regulate the multiple drug release pathway.

Object: We intended to clarify the causal associations between four categories of essential nutrients (amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins) and two acute manifestations of CSVD (intracerebral hemorrhage and small vessel stroke) using two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.
Method: We obtained European-based large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWASs) related to CSVD (6,255 cases and 233,058 controls) and nutrient concentrations.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) and influenza viruses have spread around the world at an unprecedented rate. Despite multiple vaccines, new variants of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza have caused a remarkable level of pathogenesis. The development of effective antiviral drugs to treat SARS-CoV-2 and influenza remains a high priority.

Due to the high heritability of ASD, research on the disorder has emphasised on identifying the underlying genetic and epigenetic aetiology. Many ASD loci have been identified by genome-wide association studies (GWASs).

Biologically, protein-protein interactions between SARS-CoV-2 surface spike (S) protein and human ACE2 protein are the key mechanism behind the COVID-19 disease. In this study, we provide insights into interactions between the SARS-CoV-2 S-protein and ACE2, and propose topological indices to quantitatively characterize the impact of mutations on binding affinity changes (ΔΔ).

Although injectable hydrogels are widely studied in tissue regeneration, their mechanical performance is usually stationary after implant, without further self-adaption toward the microenvironment. Herein, an injectable hydrogel with programmed mechanical kinetics of instant gelation and gradual self-strengthening along with outstanding biodegradation ability is developed.

In this paper, we explain why structures that are persistent with respect to changes in length and time scales are proper effective variables, and illustrate how persistent structures can be identified from the spectra and Fiedler vector of the graph Laplacian at different stages of the topological data analysis (TDA) filtration process for twelve toy models. We then investigated four market crashes, three of which were related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this work, the failure behaviors of the surface and drift of the surrounding rock were investigated based on the results of in situ failure investigations, monitoring data, and engineering geological conditions. The results were then combined with theoretical analysis to reveal the mechanism responsible for the movement of the hanging wall.

In the current study, the authors aim to compare the long-term oncological outcomes of POPRC versus standard radical cystectomy (SRC) in a large multicenter retrospective cohort.
Patients And Methods: Data on female patients with bladder cancer who underwent POPRC or SRC in January 2006 and April 2018 were included from three Chinese urological centers.
To solve the problem of missed and false detection caused by the large number of tiny targets and complex background textures in a printed circuit board (PCB), we propose a global contextual attention augmented YOLO model with ConvMixer prediction heads (GCC-YOLO). In this study, we apply a high-resolution feature layer (P2) to gain more details and positional information of small targets. Moreover, in order to suppress the background noisy information and further enhance the feature extraction capability, a global contextual attention module (GC) is introduced in the backbone network and combined with a C3 module.

Structural DNA nanotechnology has reported a wide range of applications including computing, photonics, synthetic biology, biosensing, bioimaging, and therapeutic delivery, among others. Nevertheless, the foundational goal of structural DNA nanotechnology is exploiting DNA molecules to build three-dimensional crystals as periodic molecular scaffolds to precisely align, obtain, or collect desired guest molecules.

From the comparison of two configuration structures, it has been found that the shoulder region can twist and move outward, while the cap region will rotate and push upward correspondingly. To further understand these experimental results, in this paper, we study the vault dynamics for the first time.

In this study, we propose a novel re-parameterized large kernel C3 module, which enables the model to obtain a larger effective receptive field and improve the ability of feature extraction under complex texture interference. Moreover, we construct a feature fusion structure with a multi-path spatial pyramid pooling module to adapt to the scale variation of steel surface defects.

We show that the area rule of circulation around simple loops holds in both the forward cascade enstrophy inertial range (ΩIR) and the inverse cascade energy inertial range (EIR): When the side lengths of a loop are all within the same inertial range, the circulation statistics depend on the loop area alone. It is also found that, for circulation around figure-eight loops, the area rule still holds in EIR but is not applicable in ΩIR.

Abnormalities of the vestibular aqueduct (VA) and the jugular bulb (JB) have been suggested as predisposing factors. Yet, few studies have investigated the correlation between JB abnormalities and VA variations as well as its clinical relevance in these patients.
