Borohydrides, known for ultrahigh hydrogen density, are promising hydrogen storage materials but typically require high operating temperatures due to their strong thermodynamic stability. Here we introduce a novel light-induced destabilization mechanism for hydrogen storage reaction of borohydrides under ambient conditions photogenerated vacancies in LiH. These vacancies thermodynamically destabilize B-H bonds through the spontaneous "strong adsorption" of BH groups, which trigger an asymmetric redistribution of electrons, enabling hydrogen release at near room temperature, approximately 300 °C lower than the corresponding thermal process.

An ancient and counterintuitive phenomenon known as the Mpemba effect (water can cool faster when initially heated up) showcases the critical role of initial conditions in relaxation processes. How to realize and utilize this effect for speeding up relaxation is an important but challenging task in purely quantum system till now. This study aimed to investigate the correlation and predictive value of TyG and related parameters with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) MAFLD. This study retrospectively included individuals who underwent health examinations and abdominal ultrasound from July 2021 to June 2024 at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University, Sichuan Province, China. A total of 71,299 subjects' clinical and laboratory data were extracted, the correlation between TyG and related parameters and MAFLD was analyzed via univariate and multivariate logistic regression methods, and the nonlinear relationship between the TyG index and the risk of MAFLD was explored via restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis.

This study explores the molecular role of the BTK gene in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) progression and patient prognosis. Using a radiomics model based on BTK expression and PET-CT data analyzed through DeeplabV3, alongside transcriptomic and clinical data from TCGA, we established a strong predictive relationship between BTK levels and LUAD outcomes. Our findings demonstrate that low BTK expression is linked to poorer prognoses.

Galactose oxidase has long captured the interest of the biocatalysis and biotechnology communities due to its unique catalytic characteristics and versatility with various substrates. In our previous studies, we demonstrated that galactose oxidase GAO-5F from Fusarium odoratissimum can oxidize agarose to produce a polyaldehyde polymer, which can be further crosslinked with gelatin to produce food packaging films.
