Introduction: A retrospective study based on sentinel surveillance was conducted in 10 provincial-level administrative divisions (PLADs) in China to enhance the understanding of the epidemiological characteristics of human parainfluenza viruses (HPIVs).
Methods: From January 2019 to June 2023, respiratory specimens were collected from individuals with acute respiratory infections (ARIs) and screened for four HPIVs serotypes and other common respiratory viruses using multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This study analyzed the association of HPIVs infections with seasonal patterns, geographical distribution, demographic profiles, clinical features, and co-infection status.
Plant guttation is an important source of water/nutrients for many beneficial insects, while the presence of pesticides in guttation has been considered as a new exposure route for nontarget insects. This study aimed to elucidate how 15 diverse pesticides are translocated from growth media to guttation by maize plants through a hydroponic experiment. All pesticides were effectively translocated from the growth solution to maize guttation and reached a steady state within 5 days.

However, the suppressive microenvironment and individual heterogeneity results in downregulation of these antigens in certain patients' cancer cells. Therefore, optimizing CAR-T cell therapy for HCC is imperative.

Herein, a novel heterostructure composite nanofiber cathode comprised of PrBaSrCoO and CePrO (PBSC-CPO-ES) was prepared for the first time through a synergistic approach involving in-situ self-assembly and electrostatic spinning techniques. PBSC-CPO-ES exhibits exceptionally high oxygen reduction catalytic activity and CO resistance, which is attributed to its unique nanofiber microstructure and abundant presence of heterointerfaces, significantly accelerating the charge transfer process, surface exchange and bulk diffusion of oxygen.

Methods: Rat Schwann cells were irradiated with I-125 seeds and transfected with miR-132-3p mimic, miR-132-3p inhibitor or sh-CAMTA1. The expressions of S100B and β-tubulin Ⅲ in the cells were detected with immunofluorescence assay, and the expressions of miR-132-3p and CAMTA1 protein were determined using RT-qPCR and Western blotting, respectively.
Improving the mechanical properties of wound dressings and achieving personalized automatic real-time deposition are important for accelerating wound management and repair. In this study, we report a self-designed automatic deposition device based on solution blow spinning (SBS) to prepare poly(lactic--glycolic acid) (PLGA) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) composite (PLGA/PLLA) nanofibrous membranes for wound dressing at a short distance. Polymer solution and deposition conditions, including air pressure, spinning distance, solvent extrusion rate, and spinning rate, were optimized using orthogonal experiments and characterized dynamic mechanical analysis.

By employing a 15 kV output voltage, the DCAI-nano-ESI source effectively identifies various biological molecules, including angiotensin II, bradykinin, cytochrome C, and soybean lecithin, showcasing impressive analyte signals and facilitating multicharge MS in positive- and negative-ion modes. Notably, results show that the oxidation of fatty acids using a DC arc produces [M + O - H] ions, which aid in identifying the location of C═C bonds in unsaturated fatty acids and distinguishing between isomers based on diagnostic ions observed during collision-induced dissociation tandem MS.

However, the structural changes in Cu-based catalysts during the eCORR pose challenges to achieving an in-depth understanding of the structure-activity relationship, thereby limiting catalyst development. Herein, we employ constant-potential density functional theory calculations to investigate the sintering process of Cu single atoms of Cu-N-C single-atom catalysts into clusters under eCORR conditions.

However, photodetectors target at the UVB region (280-320 nm) are rarely reported, and the devices detected by medium-wave UV light generally have problems such as low detection rate, low sensitivity, and poor stability, which are difficult to meet the market application needs. Herein, Cs-Cu-I films with mixed-phase have been prepared by vacuum thermal evaporation.
