Liver fibrosis represents the consequences of a sustained wound healing response to chronic liver injury which could be caused by viral, autoimmune, drugs, and so on. Unfortunately, there was no effective therapy available for liver fibrosis in clinic. In this study, we identified the anti-fibrotic effects of 1,7-dihydroxy-3,4,8-trimethoxyxanthone (ZYC-1) on the dimethylnitrosamine (DMN)-induced rat model.

To investigate the effect of Fuzheng Huayu capsule(FHC) on serum metabolomics in rats with liver fibrosis induced by dimethylnitrosamine(DMN). The metabolic profiles of rat serum of normal group, model group, and FHC group were established by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology. Furthermore, the levels of endogenous metabolites such as amino acids and bile acids were measured in each group.

Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AChEIs) currently form the basis of the newest drugs available for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For the aim of screening effective AChEIs, the methanol extracts of the seeds of genus Peganum were found to show significant inhibitory activity of acetylcholinesterase enzyme (AChE) using an in vitro TLC-bioautographic assay. In further studies to seed of P.
