Article Synopsis
The study aimed to analyze the genetic variations of the rotavirus, focusing on the VP4 antigen in diarrhea-affected infants in Chengdu, China.
Fecal samples were collected from 75 infants, revealing rotavirus in 13 of them, with the G1 serotype being the most common.
The results showed that G1P[8] was the dominant genotype combination, highlighting rotavirus as a major cause of viral diarrhea in this region.
