- The study aimed to evaluate and compare the liver-protective effects of three compounds—Oxy, Res, and MulA—against acute liver injury (ALI) in mice caused by specific toxins (LPS and d-GalN).
- Results showed that all three compounds reduced harmful liver enzyme levels, with MulA being the most effective, decreasing these levels by over 90% compared to the untreated group.
- The compounds also worked by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, suggesting that stilbenes from mulberry twigs could be beneficial as natural health supplements.
