This study aimed to examine the association between CDI and COVID-19, specifically investigating whether CDI worsens outcomes in patients with COVID-19.

Escherichia coli Meningitis in a Patient With Urinary Tract Infection: A Case Report.

This article discusses a case of (E. coli) meningitis resulting in altered mental status in a patient with multiple pre-existing comorbidities. The case highlights the underestimated risk of community-acquired gram-negative meningitis in adults, which can have a high mortality rate, particularly in elderly patients with sepsis and urinary tract infections.

Background/aims: Hydatid disease remains an important global socioeconomic health problem, particularly in the endemic areas. Although half of the patients show no symptoms, hydatid cysts should be treated because of their fatal complications. The aim of this study is to present the long-term results of percutaneous treatment of hydatid disease using the Örmeci technique.
