Although 3VmrMLM-MEJA and several indirect indicators have been employed to identify QTN-by-environment interactions (QEIs) in genome-wide association studies (GWAS), there is no convenient, flexible, and accurate method to comprehensively identify QEIs. To address this issue, 3VmrMLM-random was first extended to 3VmrMLM-fixed. Next, the two single-environment QTN detection methods were integrated with trait differences and regression parameters to indirectly detect QEIs.

Herein, a direct transformation of aliphatic C-H bonds to oxime ethers has been developed via light-promoted hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) in the absence of a photocatalyst. Singlet oxygen and chlorine radical are complementary C(sp)-H bond cleaving agents in this reaction, enabling the extraction of hydrogen atoms from a diverse range of compounds, like cycloalkanes, ethers, amines, amides, and cyclic sulfides. This method excels in transforming common aliphatic C-H bonds into valuable oxime ethers featuring abundant chemical feedstocks, good functional group tolerance, and catalyst free conditions.

  • Function-preserving pancreatectomy like laparoscopic spleen-preserving total pancreatectomy (L-SpTP) can enhance quality of life for patients with benign or low-grade malignant pancreatic tumors, but there is little research on its use due to challenges in the procedure.
  • Two cases are presented: one patient underwent L-SpTP for an intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) with a post-op finding of invasive carcinoma; another had a mucinous cystic tumor but suffered a splenic vein injury during surgery.
  • Both patients recovered well and were discharged after a week, indicating that L-SpTP is potentially safe and effective, though further studies are necessary to confirm these findings.
