Introduction: Extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) regulates tumor occurrence and development. Relevant eccDNA profiles have been established for various types of cancer; however, the eccDNA expression profiles in the blood of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver cirrhosis (LC) remain unknown. The present study aimed to investigate the eccDNA expression profiles in the blood of patients with HCC and LC.

Bergenia purpurascens (Saxifragaceae) is an important alpine endemic species of the Himalaya-Hengduan Mountains (HHM), with this species being used as a source of medicine and as an ornamental plant. In this study, we generated a high-quality genome assembly comprising scaffolds representing the 17 chromosomes, with a total length of 650.

A total of 616 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded surgical samples from lung adenocarcinomas with wild-type EGFR gene and no ALK protein expression by immunohistochemistry obtained at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing, China between December 2019 and April 2022 were included. Thirty-three tumors with RET gene rearrangement determined by imbalanced-based reverse-transcription droplet digital PCR (RT-ddPCR) were analyzed using break-apart FISH.

Patients And Methods: This multicenter population-based cohort study included data from ten large tertiary regional medical centers in China.
Abscisic acid (ABA) and ethylene are two essential hormones that play crucial roles throughout the entire plant life cycle and in their tolerance to abiotic or biotic stress. In recent decades, increasing research has revealed that, in addition to their individual roles, these two hormones are more likely to function through their interactions, forming a complex regulatory network. More importantly, their functions change and their interactions vary from synergistic to antagonistic depending on the specific plant organ and development stage, which is less focused, compared and systematically summarized.

We aimed to validate a test combining GFAP (glial fibrillary acidic protein) and UCH-L1 (ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase-L1) to indicate the absence of HT after IVT.
Methods: We prospectively enrolled consecutive patients with stroke treated with IVT from 16 hospitals.

Lesions of the left triangular ligament of the liver are rare, and there are even fewer cases of vascular tumors misdiagnosed as gastrointestinal stromal tumors. We comment on the two cases reported in the article. The article did not include pictures of laparoscopic surgery, making it unconvincing.

The clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating COPD is definite, and it can exert positive effects such as improving skeletal muscle degradation, airway mucus hypersecretion and pulmonary vascular remodeling in COPD rats. In recent years, the research on the underlying mechanisms of acupuncture in improving COPD has become more and more in-depth.

Here, clozapine served as a representative agent for investigating how AAPs induce hyperglycaemia. In normal mice and mice fed a high fat diet (HFD), clozapine impaired glucose tolerance and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) following intraperitoneal glucose administration and increased plasma 5-HT levels.

It is reported that NP is related to the increased activity of glutamatergic pyramidal cells and changed neural oscillations in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). Arginine vasopressin (AVP), a neurohypophyseal hormone, has been shown to cause pain-alleviating effects when applied to the peripheral system.

The presence of long-winged individuals often heralds the onset of migration, while short-winged morphs signify high reproduction and can be associated with population outbreaks. This phenomenon underscores the adaptability of these insects in response to environmental cues and their impact on agricultural ecosystems.

However, a systematic characterization of metabolic heterogeneity across multiple cancer types at the single-cell level remains limited.
Methods: We integrated 296 tumour and normal samples spanning six common cancer types to construct a single-cell compendium of metabolic gene expression profiles and identify cell type-specific metabolic properties and reprogramming patterns.

To investigate the effect of prenatal dexamethasone on short-term outcomes and long-term neurological development in late preterm infants with twin pregnancy. A total of 315 pregnant women with twin pregnancy and their preterm infants who delivered in Peking University Third Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical data of pregnant women and preterm infants were collected.

In this study, we investigated how liver failure leads to hepatic retinopathy using bile duct ligation (BDL) rats as a cholestasis animal model. Light-dark box test was used to assess sensitivity to light, indexed as visual acuity.

In this study, total of 1034 patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent IVT were enrolled. Serum leukocyte variation (whether increase from baseline to 24 h after IVT), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), infarct volume, early neurologic deterioration (END), the unfavorable outcome at 3-month (modified Rankin Scale [mRS] score ≥3) and mortality were recorded.

From January to August 2023, eight N-nitrosamines in the air of workplace were collected by ThermoSorb/N column, eluted with 4 ml methanol-dichloromethane (1∶1 volume ratio), separated by VF-624 ms capillary column, detected by multiple reaction monitoring mode and quantified by external standard method. The detection limit and precision of the method were also analyzed.

The rice leaf folder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis, traditionally viewed as temperature-sensitive, paradoxically exhibits robust larval acclimation to heat stress. This study used the heat-acclimated strain HA39, developed through multigenerational exposure to 39°C during the larval stage, and the unacclimated strain HA27 reared at 27°C to unravel the transgenerational effects of heat acclimation and its regulatory mechanisms.

Among the elemental molecular solids, nitrogen stands apart for having phases, which can only be stabilized following particular pressure-temperature pathways, indicative of metastability and kinetic barriers. Here, through the combination of Raman spectroscopy and dynamic compression techniques, we find that the appearance of the whole nitrogen phase diagram is determined by the P-T paths taken below 2 GPa.

TP53 gene germline mutation is considered a potential risk factor and crucial prognostic parameter for acute leukemia development and diagnosis, but rarely occurs in adults, and its specific pathogenic significance in acute leukemia is unclear.
Case Presentation: We describes a case of a 45-year-old woman diagnosed with ALL.
Objective: We designed this study to introduce the surgical strategy cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) decompression in treatment of Chiari malformation type I and compared CSF decompression with other surgical strategies to provide a solid basis for patient counseling.
Methods: The study enrolled 528 consecutive patients with CMI who underwent surgical interventions from 2012 to 2022. The surgical strategy for these patients was bony and dural decompression, anatomical reduction of herniated tonsils, or CSF decompression.
