In situ vaccination (ISV) triggers antitumor immune responses using the patient's own cancer antigens, yet limited neoantigen release hampers its efficacy. Our novel combination therapy involves low-dose local cisplatin followed by ISV with a TLR7/8/9 agonist formulation (CR108), in which CR108 boosts and sustains the antitumor responses induced by the cisplatin-released neoantigens. In mouse models, the cisplatin+CR108 combination significantly outperformed cisplatin or CR108 alone in abrogating established 4T1 and B16 tumors.

CD73, an ectoenzyme responsible for adenosine production, is often elevated in immuno-suppressive tumor environments. Inhibition of CD73 activity holds great promise as a therapeutic strategy for CD73-expressing cancers. In this study, we have developed a therapeutic anti-human CD73 antibody cocktail, HB0045.

Kaempferol has an anti-inflammatory effect on rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but the mechanism by which inflammatory reactions are relieved via pyroptosis is still unclear. In the present study, The bioinformatics technology was used to analyze the relationship between pyroptosis the hub genes and the downstream cytokines in RA from three the Gene Expression Omnibus (GSE12021, GSE1919 and GSE29746). Molecular docking analysis of kaempferol and caspase1 (CASP1) was executed with Autodock tools.

Article Synopsis
  • * A new synthesis method using molten salt introduces gradient pores in the NCM particles, helping to absorb volume changes and reduce fractures, thus improving the cathode's performance.
  • * This approach leads to a high nickel, low cobalt cathode that shows both excellent energy capacity (941.2 Wh/kg) and impressive stability, maintaining 80.5% capacity after 800 cycles and over 95% after storage at high temperatures.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), a widely-utilized additive manufacturing (AM) technology, has found significant favor among automotive manufacturers. Polypropylene (PP) compound is extensively employed in the production of automotive parts due to its superior mechanical properties and formability. However, aiming at the problem of poor dimensional accuracy of pure PP parts, the quality of products can be enhanced by optimizing the combination of processing parameters.

The structure collapse issues have long restricted the application of polycrystalline LiNiCoMnO (NCM) at high voltages beyond 4.4 V vs Li/Li. Herein, for LiNiCoMnO (P-NCM), rapid surface degradation is observed upon the first charge, along with serious particle fragmentation upon repeated cycles.

Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) utilizes the fingerprint features of molecular vibrations to identify and detect substances. However, in traditional single focus excitation scenarios, its signal collection efficiency of the objective is restricted. Furthermore, the uneven distribution of samples on the SERS substrate would result in poor signal stability, while the excitation power is limited to avoid sample damage.

Background: Patients with relapsed or refractory hematologic cancers have a poor prognosis. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy as a bridge to allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) has the potential for long-term tumor elimination. However, pre-HSCT myeloablation and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis agents have toxic effects and could eradicate residual CAR T cells and compromise antitumor effects.

Background Noninvasive tests can be used to screen patients with chronic liver disease for advanced liver fibrosis; however, the use of single tests may not be adequate. Purpose To construct sequential clinical algorithms that include a US deep learning (DL) model and compare their ability to predict advanced liver fibrosis with that of other noninvasive tests. Materials and Methods This retrospective study included adult patients with a history of chronic liver disease or unexplained abnormal liver function test results who underwent B-mode US of the liver between January 2014 and September 2022 at three health care facilities.

Statement Of Problem: Current methods for assessing the accuracy of intraoral scanners (IOSs) that reduce errors and provide comprehensive data compared with previous methods are lacking.

Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to present a coordinate-based data analysis method to compare the accuracy of 5 IOSs for scanning completely dentate and partially edentulous casts.

Material And Methods: Reference scans of 2 complete arch casts (completely and partially dentate) were digitized using a high-precision laboratory scanner (Ceramill Map 600).

Oxytocin (OXT) plays important roles in autonomic control and behavioral modulation. However, it is unknown how the projection patterns of OXT neurons align with underlying physiological functions. Here, we present the reconstructed single-neuron, whole-brain projectomes of 264 OXT neurons of the mouse paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus (PVH) at submicron resolution.

Simultaneously generating various motion modes with high strains in piezoelectric devices is highly desired for high-technology fields to achieve multi-functionalities. However, traditional approach for designing multi-degrees-of-freedom systems is to bond together several multilayer piezoelectric stacks, which generally leads to cumbersome and complicated structures. Here, we proposed a transparent piezo metasurface to achieve various types of strains in a wide frequency range.

Introduction: Leaf area index (LAI) is a critical physiological and biochemical parameter that profoundly affects vegetation growth. Accurately estimating the LAI for winter wheat during jointing stage is particularly important for monitoring wheat growth status and optimizing variable fertilization decisions. Recently, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data and machine/depth learning methods are widely used in crop growth parameter estimation.

PD-1 is a co-inhibitory receptor expressed by CD8 T cells which limits their cytotoxicity. PD-L1 expression on cancer cells contributes to immune evasion by cancers, thus, understanding the mechanisms that regulate PD-L1 protein levels in cancers is important. Here we identify tumor-cell-expressed otubain-2 (OTUB2) as a negative regulator of antitumor immunity, acting through the PD-1/PD-L1 axis in various human cancers.

Integrated TLS and GPR data can provide multisensor and multiscale spatial data for the comprehensive identification and analysis of surficial and subsurface information, but a reliable systematic methodology associated with data integration of TLS and GPR is still scarce. The aim of this research is to develop a methodology for the data integration of TLS and GPR for detailed, three-dimensional (3D) virtual reconstruction. GPR data and high-precision geographical coordinates at the centimeter level were simultaneously gathered using the GPR system and the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal receiver.

Due to the lack of inversion symmetry and the discovery of room-temperature ferromagnetism, two-dimensional semiconducting vanadium-based van der Waals transition-metal dichalcogenides (V-TMDs) are drawing attention for their possible application in spintronics and valleytronics. Here, we show the functional properties enriched by the broken inversion, out-of-plane mirror, and time-reversal symmetries of Janus H-V TMDs (, = S, Se, Te). By first-principles calculations, we reveal the intrinsic easy-plane magnetism of the Janus vanadium-based TMD monolayers and systematically study their hidden valley polarization and giant magneto band structure.

Single-crystal LiNi Co Mn O (SC-NCM, x+y+z=1) cathodes are renowned for their high structural stability and reduced accumulation of adverse side products during long-term cycling. While advances have been made using SC-NCM cathode materials, careful studies of cathode degradation mechanisms are scarce. Herein, we employed quasi single-crystalline LiNi Co Mn O (SC-NCM65) to test the relationship between cycling performance and material degradation for different charge cutoff potentials.
