Background: Congenital muscular dystrophies (CMDs) and myopathies (CMYOs) are a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of neuromuscular disorders that share common features, such as muscle weakness, hypotonia, characteristic changes on muscle biopsy and motor retardation. In this study, we recruited eleven families with early-onset neuromuscular disorders in China, aimed to clarify the underlying genetic etiology.
Methods: Essential clinical tests, such as biomedical examination, electromyography and muscle biopsy, were applied to evaluate patient phenotypes.
Background: We performed a prespecified subgroup analysis of the CATIS-2 trial (China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke II) to compare the effect of early versus delayed antihypertensive treatment on death and disability in patients with and without medical history of hypertension.
Methods: CATIS-2 is a multicenter randomized clinical trial conducted in 106 hospitals in China. The trial randomized 4810 patients with acute ischemic stroke within 24 to 48 hours of symptom onset and elevated systolic blood pressure between 140 and <220 mm Hg to receive antihypertensive treatment immediately after randomization or to discontinue antihypertensive medications for 7 days and then receive treatment on day 8.
Although Pb-based metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have excellent photoelectric characteristics, their toxicity remains a limiting factor for their widespread application. In the paper, a series of CsCuClxBr3-x (x = 1, 2, 3) MHP microcrystals were developed and their hydrogen evolution performance in ethanol and HX (X = Cl, Br) was also studied. Among them, CsCuCl3 microcrystals exhibit high hydrogen evolution performance in both HX and ethanol, attributed to their longest average lifetime and suitable band structure.

Developing stimulus-responsive properties of drug delivery nanocarriers combined with enhanced joint lubrication is an effective synergistic strategy for treating osteoarthritis. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm) is a typical thermo-responsive polymer, which can achieve drug delivery by transition from swollen state to collapsed state. However, undesired transition temperature, limited drug loading capacity, and weakened mechanical properties in joint present obstacles to use as drug delivery nanocarriers.

Metal-organic framework materials are promising sorbents for a variety of gases, but their limited capacity towards benzene at low concentration remains unresolved. Here we report the adsorption of trace benzene by decorating a structural defect in MIL-125-defect with single-atom metal centres to afford MIL-125-X (X = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; MIL-125, TiO(OH)(BDC) where HBDC is 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid).

The existing electronic waste (e-waste) and leaching solutions generated by industries accumulate significant amounts of gold (Au), even in excess of those in natural minerals. Therefore, the recycling of Au is extremely significant for the potential sustainability of chemical industry. By designing ionic covalent organic frameworks (COFs), here we synthesize a series of Ionic-COF-X (X=Cl, Br, AcO, and SO ) by anion regulation strategy and further explore their adsorption performance towards Au recovery.

Six ferroelastic semiconductors, YSe (, = I, Br, Cl, or F; ≠ ) monolayers, are theoretically predicted here. Their in-plane anisotropic band structure, elastic and piezoelectric properties can be switched by ferroelastic strain.

Our previous studies have shown that washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) has a significant improvement effect on patients with hyperlipidemia and hypolipemia in the Chinese population. The purpose of this study was to further explore the long-term efficacy and safety of WMT in patients with hyperlipidemia.

The metal-organic cages with multiple metal sites, tunable active centers, and well-defined microenvironments may provide a promising catalyst model. Here, we report self-assembly of AgL type cuboctahedral cages from coordination dynamic Ag ion and triangular imidazolyl ligand 1,3,5-tris(1-benzylbenzimidazol-2-yl) benzene (Ag-MOC-X, X=NO, ClO, BF) via anion template effect.

The study included alternate doping of nonmetallic atoms, as well as a comparison of the effects of intrinsic bending deformation and nonmetallic doping deformation. The results demonstrate that boron atom doping raises the Fermi energy level.

Materials And Methods: Seventy-four participants [48 LN patients and 26 healthy volunteers (HV)] were included in the study. All participant underwent conventional MR and DTI (b = 0, 400, and 600 s/mm) examinations using a 3.
Rationale And Objectives: Tumor progression and recurrence(P/R)after surgical resection are common in meningioma patients and can indicate poor prognosis. This study aimed to investigate the values of clinicopathological information and preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics in predicting P/R and progression-free survival (PFS) in meningioma patients.
Methods And Materials: A total of 169 patients with pathologically confirmed meningioma were included in this study, 54 of whom experienced P/R.
Dual-phase high-entropy alloys with excellent room temperature and high-temperature properties have been widely studied as potential high-temperature structural materials. However, interface weakening causes its high-temperature performance to decline at higher temperatures, severely limiting further development. In this study, a series of AlCrFeNiMoHf (x = 0, 0.

The electronic structure, density of states, charge transfer, and optical properties of halogen atom X doped on MoTe monolayer are systematically calculated and analyzed. It shows that the Fermi energy level is shifted upward after doping with halogen atoms.
