Methods: Cumulative dust exposure (CDE) represented coal dust exposure, whereas the hydroxyproline-to-arginine concentration ratio (Hyp/Arg) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid gauged arginine-proline metabolism activation. Pulmonary function indicators, including predicted value of forced vital capacity (FVC%pred), forced expiratory volume in 1 second/forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC%), and the ratio of actual to predicted value of FEV1 (FEV1%pred), diffusing capacity of the lungs for carbon monoxide (DLCO%pred), difference value between alveolar air and arterial partial oxygen pressure (P (A-a) O 2 ), and 6-minute walking distance test (6MWT), were assessed.
In this paper, a wide-band, low-profile antenna is presented for a high-integration phased array system. The proposed antenna, implemented using a tightly coupled array, operates over roughly the X-K frequency band and is performant at 8 GHz-18.5 GHz.

Following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, a comprehensive and systematic literature search was conducted using both English and Chinese databases. Data were extracted and categorized into six defined lactation stages.

Methods: We reviewed our clinical experience with adoptive cellular CAR T-cell therapy at our institution since 2016 and ascertained the occurrence of second tumors. In one case of secondary T-cell lymphoma, a broad array of molecular, genetic, and cellular techniques were used to interrogate the tumor, the CAR T cells, and the normal hematopoietic cells in the patient.

Deep compressive sensing (CS) has become a prevalent technique for image acquisition and reconstruction. However, existing deep learning (DL)-based CS methods often encounter challenges such as block artifacts and information loss during iterative reconstruction, particularly at low sampling rates, resulting in a reduction of reconstructed details. To address these issues, we propose NesTD-Net, an unfolding-based architecture inspired by the NESTA algorithm, designed for image CS.

Peptide-based hydrogels have great potential for applications in tissue engineering, drug delivery, and so on. We systematically synthesize, characterize, and investigate the self-assembly behaviors of a series of polypeptide-based penta-block copolymers by varying block sequences and lengths. The copolymers contain hydrophobic blocks of poly(γ-benzyl-l-glutamate) (PBG, B) and two kinds of hydrophilic blocks, poly(l-lysine) (PLL, K) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG, EG), where and are the number of repeating units of each block, where PBG and PLL blocks have unique functions for nerve regeneration and cell adhesion.

Background: It is uncertain whether adjunctive thrombolysis is beneficial for patients with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) within 120 minutes of presentation. This study was to determine whether in patients presenting with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction a single bolus recombinant staphylokinase (r-SAK) before timely PCI leads to improved patency of the infarct-related artery and reduces the infarct size.
Methods: This is an open-label, prospective, multicenter, randomized study.
Aims: A therapeutic strategy for chronic heart failure (HF) is to lower resting heart rate (HR). Ivabradine is a well-known HR-lowering agent, but limited prospective data exist regarding its use in Chinese patients. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ivabradine in Chinese patients with chronic HF.

To determine the correlation between heavy metal content in tobacco leaves and soil factors, soil physical and chemical properties and heavy metal contents of lead, cadmium, and copper in tobacco leaves were measured and analyzed by the correlation regression method. The content of lead, cadmium, and copper in soil was determined using hydrochloric acid extraction-AAS and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.

Over the past decade, the genes involved in aortic valve development and BAV formation have been increasingly recognized. On the other hand, (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) gene family members have been reported to be able to modulate cardiovascular development and diseases.

The process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*+}D_{s}^{*-} is studied with a semi-inclusive method using data samples at center-of-mass energies from threshold to 4.95 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections of the process are measured for the first time with high precision in this energy region.

EBV latent proteins are expressed in numerous EBV-associated cancers and contribute to carcinogenesis, making them critical therapeutic targets for these cancers. Thus, this study aims to develop mRNA-based therapeutic vaccines that express the T-cell-epitope-rich domain of truncated latent proteins of EBV, including truncatedlatent membrane protein 2A (Trunc-LMP2A), truncated EBV nuclear antigen 1 (Trunc-EBNA1), and Trunc-EBNA3A.

In this work, we investigate the effects of mixed alkali on the optical absorption, luminescence spectra and photocatalytic abilities of (NaK)SbO nanoparticles. All the samples are fabricated using a simple one-step hydrothermal method.

We aimed to investigate the diagnostic performance and safety of a novel ferumoxytol-enhanced coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA) in patients with suspected coronary artery disease.
Methods: Thirty patients, 19 males, with a median age of 63 years old, and 17 with renal insufficiency, who were scheduled for invasive coronary angiography, were enrolled.
Direct seawater electrolysis is promising for sustainable hydrogen gas (H) production. However, the chloride ions in seawater lead to side reactions and corrosion, which result in a low efficiency and poor stability of the electrocatalyst and hinder the use of seawater electrolysis technology. Here we report a corrosion-resistant RuMoNi electrocatalyst, in which the in situ-formed molybdate ions on its surface repel chloride ions.

Purpose To develop a sequence to simultaneously quantify T1, T2, and T2* of carotid plaque. Materials and Methods The simultaneous T1, T2, and T2* mapping of carotid plaque (SIMPLE*) sequence is composed of three modules with different T2 preparation pulses, inversion-recovery pulses, and acquisition schemas.

Purpose To investigate a vascular geometric model for noninvasive diagnosis of CSPH (HVPG ≥10 mm Hg) in patients with liver cirrhosis for both contrast-enhanced CT and MRI. Materials and Methods In this retrospective study, consecutive patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent HVPG measurement from August 2016 to April 2019 were included.

Thus, recovered patients still need to be vaccinated to prevent reinfection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or its mutated variants. Here, we report that the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine can stimulate immunity in recovered patients to maintain high levels of anti-receptor-binding domain (RBD) and anti-nucleocapsid protein (NP) antibody titers within 9 months, and high neutralizing activity against the prototype, Delta, and Omicron strains was observed.

Background: Hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) therapy has shown promise for tissue regeneration after ischemia. Therefore, there is a need to understand mechanisms underlying endogenous HSCs activation in response to ischemic stress and coordination of angiogenesis and repair. SHP-1 plays important roles in HSC quiescence and differentiation by regulation of TGF-β1 signaling.
