The development of all-solid-state frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) metal-free hydrogenation catalysts with excellent activity and stability remains a significant challenge. In this work, B, N codoped FLPs catalysts (De-rGO-NB) were prepared by the strategy of fabricating carbon defects and heteroatom doping on the surface of reduced graphene oxide and applied in the selective hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes to unsaturated alcohols. It was found that electron-rich pyridine-N (Lewis base) and adjacent electron-deficient B-N (Lewis acid) sites could be constructed on the surface of reduced graphene oxide using dicyandiamide and metaboric acid as N and B sources, thus forming FLPs sites.

Purpose To evaluate the performance of a high-dynamic-range quantitative susceptibility mapping (HDR-QSM) cardiac MRI technique to detect intramyocardial hemorrhage (IMH) and quantify iron content using phantom and canine models. Materials and Methods A free-running whole-heart HDR-QSM technique for IMH assessment was developed and evaluated in calibrated iron phantoms and 14 IMH female canine models. IMH detection and iron content quantification performance of this technique was compared with the conventional iron imaging approaches, R2*(1/T2*) maps, using measurements from ex vivo imaging as the reference standard.

A positive-charged composite NF membrane with an active skin layer was prepared by polyethyleneimine (PEI), trimethyl benzene chloride, and quaternate chitosan (HTCC) through second interfacial polymerization on the polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membrane. The physicochemical properties of the nanocomposite membrane were investigated using surface morphology, hydrophilicity, surface charge, and molecular weight cut-off (MWCO).

The inhomogeneous B0 fields can lead to corrupted image quality, prolonged scan time, and false diagnosis. B0 shimming is the most straightforward way to improve the B0 homogeneity.

Here, we tested unrefined AF2 models , comparing experimental hit-rates and affinities from large library docking against AF2 models vs the same screens targeting experimental structures of the same receptors. In docking screens against the σ and the 5-HT2A receptors, the AF2 structures struggled to recapitulate ligands that we had previously found docking against the receptors' experimental structures, consistent with published results.

However, the coordination environment of the single transition metal (TM) atoms is essential to the catalytic activity for NRR. Herein, we proposed four types of 3-, 4-coordinated and π-d conjugated TM B N S (x=2, 3, TM=Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Zr, Nb, Mo, Tc, Ru, Hf, Ta, W, Re and Os) monolayers for SACs.

For the first time, we developed a new class of alternating block conjugated copolymers denoted as poly(-AB)--(-AC) where both blocks are constituted by an alternating copolymer. 3-Hexylthiophene (S), 3-hexylselenophene (Se) and 3-hexyltellurophene (Te) are used as A, B and C units to assemble three sequence-controlled polychalcogenophenes P(SSe)(STe), P(SSe)(SeTe) and P(STe)(SeTe) which are prepared by adding two different Grignard monomers in sequence to carry out Ni(dppp)Cl-catalyzed Kumada polymerization.

Summary Answer: Dietary intake of carotene, including total carotene, α-carotene, β-carotene as well as retinol equivalent, and lutein + zeaxanthin, were inversely correlated with the risk of teratozoospermia.
What Is Known Already: Phytochemicals are natural plant derived bioactive compounds, which have been reported to be potentially associated with male reproductive health. To date, no study has investigated the association between phytochemical intake and the risk of teratozoospermia.
Thick Nd-Fe-B permanent magnetic films with good perpendicular anisotropy have important applications in magnetic microelectromechanical systems (MEMSs). However, when the thickness of the Nd-Fe-B film reaches the micron level, the magnetic anisotropy and texture of NdFeB film will become worse, and it is also prone to peeling during heat treatment, which seriously limits their applications. In this paper, Si(100)/Ta(100 nm)/NdFeB(x = 14.

The aim of this study was to determine whether plaque distribution and postoperative complications after endovascular treatment for basilar artery stenosis are related.
Materials And Methods: Our study enrolled patients with severe basilar artery stenosis who were scanned with high-resolution MR imaging and followed by DSA before the intervention.
Advanced mRNA vaccines play vital roles against SARS-CoV-2. However, most current mRNA delivery platforms need to be stored at -20 °C or -70 °C due to their poor stability, which severely restricts their availability. Herein, we develop a lyophilization technique to prepare SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-lipid nanoparticle vaccines with long-term thermostability.

DVCS is sensitive to the generalized parton distributions of the nucleon, which provide a three-dimensional description of its internal constituents. Using the exact analytic expression of the DVCS cross section for all possible polarization states of the initial and final electron and nucleon, and final state photon, we present the first experimental extraction of all four helicity-conserving Compton form factors (CFFs) of the nucleon as a function of x_{B}, while systematically including helicity flip amplitudes.

Here, unlike the most common heteroatom ternary-doped (X/B/N) frameworks, a binary-doped (B/N) skeleton is reported with a large energy band for wide-range color tunability. Based on this parent-segment, a "one-pot" catalyst-free borylation method is developed which generates deep blue to pure green MR emitters from readily available starting materials, with peaks at 426-532 nm and full-width-at-half-maxima of 27-38 nm.

Here we investigate the surface and bulk electronic properties of magnetically alloyed Sm_{1-x}M_{x}B_{6} (M=Ce, Eu), using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and complementary characterization techniques. Remarkably, topologically nontrivial bulk and surface band structures are found to persist in highly modified samples with up to 30% Sm substitution and with an antiferromagnetic ground state in the case of Eu doping.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) causes coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19), a respiratory illness that can result in hospitalization or death. We investigated associations between rare genetic variants and seven COVID-19 outcomes in 543,213 individuals, including 8,248 with COVID-19. After accounting for multiple testing, we did not identify any clear associations with rare variants either exome-wide or when specifically focusing on (i) 14 interferon pathway genes in which rare deleterious variants have been reported in severe COVID-19 patients; (ii) 167 genes located in COVID-19 GWAS risk loci; or (iii) 32 additional genes of immunologic relevance and/or therapeutic potential.
