Background: The advent of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies has transformed the treatment of hematological malignancies; however, broader therapeutic success of CAR T cells has been limited in solid tumors because of their frequently heterogeneous composition. Stress proteins in the MICA and MICB (MICA/B) family are broadly expressed by tumor cells following DNA damage but are rapidly shed to evade immune detection.

Methods: We have developed a novel CAR targeting the conserved α3 domain of MICA/B (3MICA/B CAR) and incorporated it into a multiplexed-engineered induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived natural killer (NK) cell (3MICA/B CAR iNK) that expressed a shedding-resistant form of the CD16 Fc receptor to enable tumor recognition through two major targeting receptors.

Measurements of the associated production of a W boson and a charm ( ) quark in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 are reported. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 19.7 collected by the CMS detector at the LHC.

Background: Functional incomplete revascularisation (IR) is associated with a higher risk of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) during long-term follow-up in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the prognostic ability of quantitative flow ratio (QFR)-guided residual functional SYNTAX score (Q-rFSS) and functional IR in STEMI patients undergoing PCI.

Methods: In total, 354 consecutive STEMI patients who successfully underwent PCI were included.

Article Synopsis
  • Cervical cancer (CC) is a major health issue for women, often linked to long-term papillomavirus infections, prompting research into alternative therapeutic approaches involving long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs).
  • The study specifically investigates how lncRNA LINC01305 affects the behavior of CC cells by influencing the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and targeting tenascin-X B (TNXB), revealing that changes in LINC01305 expression impact cell invasion and migration.
  • Results indicate that silencing LINC01305 or increasing TNXB expression reduces the migration and invasion of cervical cancer cells, highlighting potential new therapeutic targets for treating CC by interfering with epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).

Based on an e^{+}e^{-} collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567  pb^{-1} taken at the center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=4.6  GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X)=(38.2_{-2.

A measurement is presented of the cross section in collisions at , using data recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of . The product of the inclusive cross section and branching fraction is measured to be , in agreement with the standard model expectation, computed at next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy in perturbative quantum chromodynamics. The measurement is used to validate new analysis techniques relevant for future measurements of lepton production.

Searches for non-resonant and resonant Higgs boson pair production are performed in the channel with the final state of using 36.1  of proton-proton collision data recorded at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. No significant deviation from the Standard Model prediction is observed.

We present measurements of the charmonium state h(c)(1P(1)) made with 106x10(6) psi' events collected by BESIII at BEPCII. Clear signals are observed for psi'-->pi0 h(c) with and without the subsequent radiative decay h(c)-->gamma eta(c). First measurements of the absolute branching ratios B(psi'-->pi0 h(c)) = (8.

We search for decays of the type B(s)0-->h+ h'- (where h,h' = K or pi) in 180 pb(-1) of pp collisions collected at the Tevatron by the upgraded Collider Detector at Fermilab. We report the first observation of the new mode B(s)0-->K+ K- with a yield of 236+/-32 events, corresponding to (fs/fd) x B(B(s)0-->K+ K-)/B(B0-->K+ pi-) = 0.46+/-0.

SmB and SmB' are the major antigenic proteins contained within small nuclear RNP particles that are recognized by both human SLE and MRL mouse anti-Sm sera. We amplified cDNA obtained from HeLa cells by using the polymerase chain reaction and identified two clones, U2 and L13, that encode SmB and SmB', respectively. The nucleotide sequences of these two clones were identical except for the insertion of a 145-bp sequence in U2 that contained an early in frame termination codon and a potential 3' consensus splice site.
