Exciton emitters in two-dimensional monolayer transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) provide a boulevard for the emerging optoelectronic field, ranging from miniaturized light-emitting diodes to quantum emitters and optical communications. However, the low quantum efficiency from limited light-matter interactions and harmful substrate effects seriously hinders their applications. In this work, we achieve a ∼438-fold exciton photoluminescence enhancement by constructing a Fabry-Pérot cavity consisting of monolayer WS and a micron-scale hole on the SiO/Si substrate.

Although various intrinsic reparative processes are initiated within the ischemic brain, these mechanisms are often insufficient to restore neuronal functionality. This has led to intensive investigation into the use of exogenous stem cells as a potential therapeutic option.

The loss of a sensory modality triggers a phenomenon known as cross-modal plasticity, where areas of the brain responsible for the lost sensory modality are reorganized and repurposed to the benefit of the remaining modalities. After perinatal or congenital deafness, superior visual motion detection abilities have been psychophysically identified in both humans and cats, and this advantage has been causally demonstrated to be mediated by reorganized auditory cortex. In our study, we investigated visually evoked potentials (VEPs) in response to motion-onset stimuli of varying speeds in both hearing and perinatally deafened cats under light anesthesia.

The utility of this method is further demonstrated by its application in late-stage site-selective modifications of glycine residues in short peptides. It is worth noting that only 1 mol % copper catalyst is required in this reaction, demonstrating high catalytic efficiency.

Combined with CT scans, the crack spatial distribution inside the post-break coal rock mass was analyzed and found that the edge of the water injection hole is prone to produce double-wing cracks along the drilling hole diameter. ABAQUS is used to verify the physical test and extend the test conditions, the geometric parameter change, morphological expansion rule and crack initiation mechanism of double-wing crack in coal rock mass under different discharge conditions and ground stress conditions are studied.
