Background: The global aging population and rapid development of digital technology have made health management among older adults an urgent public health issue. The complexity of online health information often leads to psychological challenges, such as cyberchondria, exacerbating health information avoidance behaviors. These behaviors hinder effective health management; yet, little research examines their mechanisms or intervention strategies.

methylGrapher: genome-graph-based processing of DNA methylation data from whole genome bisulfite sequencing.

Genome graphs, including the recently released draft human pangenome graph, can represent the breadth of genetic diversity and thus transcend the limits of traditional linear reference genomes. However, there are no genome-graph-compatible tools for analyzing whole genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) data. To close this gap, we introduce methylGrapher, a tool tailored for accurate DNA methylation analysis by mapping WGBS data to a genome graph.

An experimental study on the synergic damage of chemical solutions and stress to coal.

This paper investigates the impact of treatment with chemical solutions of varying pH values on the micro-macroscopic damage in coal samples under load, employing a combination of Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) experiments and uniaxial compression tests. The experimental results show that soaking coal samples in NaOH, HCl, and distilled water for 7 days leads to reductions in uniaxial compressive strength by 39.19%, 47.

[Analysis of clinical features and prognostic factors of focal cerebral arteriopathy in children].

To summarize the clinical characteristics of focal cerebral arteriopathy (FCA) in children, and to analyze its influencing factor of prognosis. A retrospective cohort study was conducted. Clinical data from 40 children with FCA who were hospitalized at the Department of Neurology, Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University, from September 2015 to August 2024 were collected.

Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae have better clinical outcomes than classical Klebsiella pneumoniae for lower respiratory tract infection patients.

Background: The clinical outcomes and microbiological features of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) caused by hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (hvKp) and classical Klebsiella pneumoniae (cKp) have not been well understood.

Methods: This study collected 287 non-repetitive Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from 287 LRTI patients. All these strains underwent annotation for resistance and virulence factors, with 141 strains undergoing mouse infection experiments to assess their virulence.
