Microplastics (MPs) have been confirmed as a hotspot for antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in wastewater. However, the impact of MPs on the transfer of ARGs in wastewater treatment remains unclear. This study investigated the roles and mechanisms of conventional (polystyrene, PS) and biodegradable (polylactic acid, PLA) MPs in the conjugative transfer of ARGs during ultraviolet disinfection.

Additionally, it aimed to explore the underlying mechanisms of END occurrence in this context.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of consecutive ischemic stroke patients with BAD in the LSA territory admitted to Dongyang People's Hospital from January 1, 2018, to September 30, 2023.
Preoperative diagnosis of Gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma (GBSCC) is difficult, and the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) pattern has never been reported before. We present a case of GBSCC where CEUS revealed special findings that facilitated early diagnosis. CEUS demonstrated irregular peripheral ring-like enhancement during the arterial phase, with hypoenhancement in the late phases, and an irregular non-enhancing area persistently present in the center of the lesion.

This study prepared modified (crosslinked, acetylated, and crosslinked & acetylated) cassava starch films, and different concentrations of strengthening agents (polyvinyl alcohol, sodium alginate, gelatin, and hyaluronic acid) were added to produce modified starch composite films. The physical properties, structure characteristics, and degradability of these films were systematically evaluated.
