Proteins have been one of the most important biomarkers for diagnosing diseases, and field-effect transistor (FET) biosensors possess high sensitivity; are label-free; and feature real-time detection, rapidity, and easy integration for protein detection. FET biosensors are mainly made up of FET parts, such as channel materials, and bio parts, such as receptors. This Tutorial provides an in-depth exploration of FET biosensors for protein detection from the composition perspective and discusses the commercialization of point-of-care diagnostics of proteins based on FET biosensors.

Background: It is well known that dysfunction of thalamocortical circuity generates the motor signs that lead to distinct disease processes and prognoses in Parkinson's disease (PD). This study aimed to leverage ultrahigh-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to identify the connectivity alterations of thalamocortical circuity and clarify their relation to motor signs in early PD.

Methods: Patients with early-stage PD (n=55) and healthy controls (HCs, n=56) were recruited from March 2022 to July 2023.

In traditional operations of all-solid-state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs), a small thin lithium metal circular disk is employed as a lithium metal anode (LMA). However, ASSLMBs with a circular-disk LMA often fail in <150 cycles with low capacity retention. In this work, we developed a new ring-shaped LMA to improve cyclability.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. Increasing evidence indicates that neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) play a critical role in tumor progression, metastasis and immunosuppression in the LUAD tumor microenvironment (TME). Nevertheless, the use of NET formation-related genes (NFRGs) to predict LUAD patient survival and response to immunotherapy has not been explored.
