Rectus abdominis diastasis (RAD) is a key factor in the rehabilitation of postpartum women. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Kinesio Taping (KT) in RAD treatment and abdominal changes. The medical records of women with RAD who received KT treatment at the hospital were reviewed.

Background: Individual neurobiological heterogeneity among patients with tobacco use disorder (TUD) hampers the identification of neuroimaging phenotypes.
Methods: The current study recruited 122 TUD individuals and 57 healthy controls, and obtained their 3D-T1 images. Heterogeneity through discriminative analysis (HYDRA) was applied to uncover the potential subtype of TUD where regional gray matter volume (GMV) was treated as the feature.
Radiodynamic therapy that employs X-rays to trigger localized reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation can tackle the tissue penetration issue of phototherapy. Although calcium tungstate (CaWO) shows great potential as a radiodynamic agent benefiting from its strong X-ray absorption and the ability to generate electron-hole (e-h) pairs, slow charge carrier transfer and fast e-h recombination greatly limit its ROS-generating performance. Herein, via a one-pot wet-chemical method, oxygen vacancy-rich amorphous/crystalline heterophase CaWO nanoparticles (Ov-a/c-CaWO NPs) with enhanced radiodynamic effect are synthesized for radiodynamic-immunotherapy of cancer.

Currently, internationally recognized general sacrifice methods for commonly used laboratory animals have been established, but there remains significant controversy over the sacrifice methods for turtles. To explore the effectiveness of various immobilization methods and their impact on stress-related indicators in turtles, this study used red-eared sliders (Trachemys scripta elegans) as subjects.

The results revealed that visfatin improved the inflammatory response in immune-stressed weaned piglets by reducing the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β, interleukin-6 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, as well as decreasing the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio. Visfatin ameliorated oxidative stress in piglets by promoting the expression of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase.
