Background/objectives: Postoperative adjuvant therapy for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) primarily includes chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy. The survival benefits of postoperative adjuvant therapy for R0-resected ESCC remain controversial. Immunotherapy is being gradually applied perioperatively for esophageal cancer, but the efficacy of postoperative immunotherapy in ESCC is unclear.

Autophagy is an important process for maintaining cellular homeostasis, and there are currently autophagy biomarkers that play an effective role in the clinical treatment of tumors. In contrast to targeting protein activity, intervention with protein-protein interaction (PPI) can avoid unrelated crosstalk and regulate the autophagy process with minimal interference pathways.

Methods: Functional assays including CCK-8, wound-healing, 5-ethynyl-2-deoxyuridine (EdU), Transwell assays, and flow cytometry, elucidated and E2F1's effects on cell viability, proliferation, apoptosis, and migration. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) identified potential pathways, while metabolic assays assessed glucose metabolism.

Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) is a metabolic bone disease driven by estrogen deficiency, primarily manifesting as reduced bone mass and heightened fracture risk. Its development is intricately linked to the balance between Th17 and Treg cells. Recent studies have highlighted the significant role of gut homeostasis in PMOP.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFDNA computing leverages molecular reactions to achieve diverse information processing functions. Recently developed DNA origami registers, which could be integrated with DNA computing circuits, allow signal transmission between these circuits, enabling DNA circuits to perform complex tasks in a sequential manner, thereby enhancing the programming space and compatibility with various biomolecules of DNA computing. However, these registers support only single-write operations, and the signal transfer involves cumbersome and time-consuming register movements, limiting the speed of sequential computing.
