Aim: To report the 10-year clinical and radiographic outcomes of implants placed in grafted (GBR) and non-grafted (no-GBR) sites in a Swiss specialist private practice using hydrophilic implants with a low surface roughness flange.
Methods: Fifty consecutively enrolled patients received 159 hydrophilic implants with a low surface roughness flange. A first re-evaluation was performed 1 year after delivery of restoration (T1).
Objective: Patients with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis (dcSSc) frequently show spontaneous improvement of skin fibrosis. Our aim was to examine whether an improvement in skin fibrosis predicts lower likelihood of visceral organ progression and better survival.
Methods: Patients from the European Scleroderma Trials and Research (EUSTAR) cohort with dcSSc, baseline modified Rodnan skin score (mRSS) ≥7, and valid mRSS at 12±3 months follow up were included.
In medical diagnostics of both early disease detection and routine patient care, particle-based contamination of in-vitro diagnostics consumables poses a significant threat to patients. Objective data-driven decision-making on the severity of contamination is key for reducing patient risk, while saving time and cost in quality assessment. Our collaborators introduced us to their quality control process, including particle data acquisition through image recognition, feature extraction, and attributes reflecting the production context of particles.
