Early diagnosis of the harmful severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), along with clinical expertise, allows governments to break the transition chain and flatten the epidemic curve. Although reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) offers quick results, chest X-ray (CXR) imaging is a more reliable method for disease classification and assessment. The rapid spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has triggered extensive research towards developing a COVID-19 detection toolkit.

The systems of application of energy-efficient heat-insulating materials must consider both the particularities of the insulating materials and the functional orientation of the constructions. The implementation of the concept of seamless insulating coatings implies the achievement of thermal effect and reduction in air permeability both by means of the application of thermal insulation with low thermal conductivity and the minimization of junctions between separate elements of the insulating coating, which is achieved using elastic foamed polymers and, first of all, polyethylene foam.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the spatio-temporal distribution of microplastics in the surface waters, sediments, and their subsequent ingestion by the commercially important fishes of Alappuzha Mud banks, a transient ecosystem formed in the littoral zones of the southwest coast of India exclusively during the Indian summer monsoon. Sampling conducted over three periods, Pre-mud bank (Pre-MB), Mud bank (MB), and Post mud bank (Post-MB) extending over three depths (2 m, 5 m and 18 m), along the semi-circular patch of mudbanks revealed marked spatio-temporal variability in microplastic distribution.

In this narrative, a teacher of physiology writes about her shifts at an out-patient fever clinic during the Covid-19 pandemic. Apart from describing the author's own struggle during her return to a clinician's role, the narrative reveals the anxieties, fears, challenges and stigma faced by patients and the pressures on the healthcare team in a pandemic situation.

A prospective AFI with rash study was undertaken at a South Indian hospital to correlate specific clinical findings with laboratory confirmation of spotted fever. During the study period (December 2017 to May 2019), 175 patients with fever and rash were suspected to have spotted fever.

The mechanism and causes are poorly understood and incomprehensible. It is important to identify the causes of these complications, to suggest a mechanism and to propose prevention measures.

Cerebral ischemia was induced by occlusion of bilateral common carotid arteries for 10 mins followed by 10 reperfusions (1 cycle), cycle was continued to 3 cycles (MO/RCA), then pathological changes were observed by estimation of brain antioxidants as superoxide dismutase, glutathione, catalase, oxidants like malonaldehyde, cerebral infarction area, histopathology, and study gallic acid treatment against cerebral injury.

The Study Objective: to evaluate the quantitative correlation between varicocele and reproductive function with a large sample.
Design: a cross-sectional and case control study.
Introduction: Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is the gold standard of BPH surgical treatment. It is of current interest to search for medications that can reduce the incidence of complications after TURP.
Aim: To evaluate the efficiency of Longidaza (rectal suppositories of 3000 IU) as part of combined therapy in order to prevent complications after TURP.
Background: Our previous studies have revealed the roles of ribosomal protein () genes in the abiotic stress responses of rice.
Methods: In the current investigation, we examine the possible involvement of these genes in insect stress responses. We have characterized the RP genes that included both () and () subunit genes in response to infestation by two economically important insect pests, the brown planthopper (BPH) and the Asian rice gall midge (GM) in rice.
Mosquito act as a vector for variety of deadly diseases. In this study, larvicide activity was investigated in relation to () and () of synthesised silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) of the () shell extract. The characterization techniques UV-vis spectral, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),High Resonance Scanning electron microscope (HR-SEM) analysis, X-ray diffraction studies (XRD), High Resonance-Transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) used to characterize biosynthesized AgNPs.

We performed a cross-sectional study on these pathogens across six bioclimatic regions of Chile, including 719 free-ranging rural dogs, 132 Andean foxes (Lycalopex culpaeus), and 82 South American gray foxes (Lycalopex griseus). Dog and fox blood samples were first screened for DNA of Anaplasmataceae followed by two Ehrlichia-specific protocols.

The study aims to know about the treatment outcomes of MDR-TB under programmatic conditions in Hyderabad District and to analyze the factors influencing the treatment outcomes.
Methods: This is a retrospective study in which 377 patients of Hyderabad district, Telangana state who were diagnosed with MDR TB and registered at Drug Resistance TB Treatment site of Government General & Chest Hospital, Hyderabad from 4th quarter 2008 to 4th quarter 2013 were included in the study.
Parkinsons disease (PD) is the second most neurodegenerative disease, which results in gradual loss of movements. To diagnose PD in a clinical setting, clinicians generally use clinical manifestations like motor and non-motor symptoms and rate the severity based on unified Parkinsons disease rating scale (UPDRS). Such clinical assessment largely depends on the expertise and experience of the clinicians and it is subjective leading to variation in assessment between clinicians.
