Purpose: To compare the effects of remimazolam and dexmedetomidine on early postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) in aged gastric cancer patients.
Methods: From June to December 2022, 104 elderly patients (aged 65-80 years) received laparoscopic radical resection of gastric cancer at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. Using the random number table approach, the patients were separated into three groups: remimazolam (Group R), dexmedetomidine (Group D), and saline (Group C).

Objective: To evaluate the effect of artificial and bioartificial liver support systems for management of acute and acute-on-chronic liver failure.
Methods: Articles documenting randomized clinical trials concerning any liver support systems vs standard conservative therapy, published between January, 1970 and June, 2008, were retrieved by database searching. Of the 1134 articles retrieved, 12 randomized trials involving 479 patients were included.
