Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is one of the main treatment methods for hematological malignancies. With the continuous improvement and popularization of transplantation technology, it has brought hope for prolonging the lives and improving the survival rate of patients with hematological malignancies. However, postoperative invasive fungal infection (IFI) is the most common infectious complication and the main cause of death, with difficult early diagnosis and extremely high mortality.

Here, we used a prebiotic, inulin hydrogels (IGs) to load multi-strain probiotics (MSPs) for protecting them from the gastrointestinal environment and improving their colonization in the gut; more importantly, they showed the synergistic effect against ionizing radiation-induced injury. Probiotics were embedded in a great number of channels of the IGs and used IGs as food.

Therefore, understanding the mechanisms of hepatocellular carcinoma may offer substantial benefits for patients. Our previous research has revealed that Hornerin promoted HCC progression by regulating the AKT signaling pathway.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the most common microvascular complications in diabetes. Accumulating evidence demonstrated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) played critical regulatory roles in DR. However, the role of lncRNA HOX Transcript Antisense Intergenic RNA (HOTAIR) in the high glucose (HG)-induced human retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cell injury remains unclear.

Hypertrophic scars arise from aberrant wound healing and can lead to functional and aesthetic impairments. One of the common interventions for treating hypertrophic scars is fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, which employs narrow laser beams to stimulate dermal collagen deposition. Recent studies and reports have suggested that combining laser therapy with other interventions such as botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) and topical growth factors may enhance treatment outcomes.

Apple processing generates a large number of by-products rich in pectin and polyphenols. Herein, we extracted apple pectin (Apec) from apple pomace, developed a multifunctional bilayer film based on Apec and chitosan by incorporating inclusion complex of apple polyphenol and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (ICAH).

To improve the growth rate of local chicken breeds, it is crucial to study the mechanism of chicken muscle development. Herein, Ningdu Yellow chicken was used as the research object, and a new hybrid breed (W) was obtained by crossing the G, H and D lines, which combined the excellent physiological characteristics of its parents.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) often faces challenges such as oxygen dependence and limited tumour specificity. We report a tumour-targeting photosensitizer (PS), RuCXB, which enhances uptake by cancer cells by targeting overexpressed cyclooxygenase-2 enzyme in tumours. RuCXB also reduces oxygen dependence a type I PDT mechanism and achieves a strong therapeutic effect through the synergistic induction of ferroptosis and apoptosis.

Here, we designed a dual-network hydrogel composed of 5 % (w/v) Pluronic F127 diacrylate and 2 % (w/v) hyaluronic acid methacryloyl, termed the FH hydrogel. To confer antioxidant and anti-inflammation properties to the hydrogel, we incorporated PVP-modified Prussian blue nanoparticles (PPBs) and resveratrol (Res) to form PHF@Res hydrogels.

Objective: This study seeks to elucidate the application value of structured nursing, deployed through network interaction platforms, in sustaining patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.
Methods: A total of 62 patients diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) between April 2022 and August 2023 were randomly allocated into two distinct care groups: conventional and structured nursing care based on a web-interactive platform.

Background: With the rise in people's living standards and aging populations, a heightened emphasis has been placed in the field of medical and health care. In recent years, there has been a drastic increase in nutrition management in domestic research circles. The mobile nutritional health management platform based on WeChat miniprograms has been widely used to promote health and self-management and to monitor individual nutritional health status in China.

Despite accumulating evidence suggesting their pro-inflammatory function upon activation, the underlying mechanisms governing eosinophil activation remain incompletely characterized. In this study, we investigate the local activation of pulmonary and colon eosinophils within the inflammatory microenvironment.

Objective: To investigate the expression level of urothelial carcinoembryonic antigen 1 (lncRNA UCA1) in the bone marrow of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, and to explore the clinical significance of lncRNA UCA1 expression level in AML patients.
Methods: Bone marrow samples of 50 AML patients were collected as experimental group, and bone marrow samples of 20 iron deficiency anemia (IDA) patients were collected as control group. The relevant clinicopathological characteristics of AML patients were collected.
Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) typically present with a complex anatomical distribution, often accompanied by insidious symptoms. This combination contributes to its high incidence and poor prognosis. It is now understood that the immune features of cellular components within the tumor ecosystem and their complex interactions are critical factors influencing both tumor progression and the effective immune response.
