Two undescribed triterpenes, tricholimbrins A and B, three undescribed steroids, tricholimbrins C‒E, one undescribed 4-chromanone derivative, along with 27 known compounds were isolated from fruiting bodies of the mushroom Tricholoma imbricatum. Tricholimbrins A and B are two polycyclic triterpenoids with a carbon degradation, while tricholimbrin C is a ring-rearranged steroid containing an aromatic moiety that might be derived from an ergosterol. Isocyathisterol, 3β,15α-dihydroxyl-(22E,24R)-ergosta-5,8(14),22-trien-7-one, demethylincisterol A, and volemolide showed cytotoxicities to six human cancer cell lines.

Broadband infrared photodetectors based on two-dimensional (2D) materials which are the research focus in the infrared field, have wide applications in remote sensing, thermal imaging, and astronomy observation. In this article, the photodetector based on 2D ferromagnetic material CoSe is studied at room temperature, demonstrating the air-stable, broadband, and up to long wavelength properties. The CoSe material is applied to infrared photodetectors for the first time.

The cardiotoxicity caused by doxorubicin and extravasation injury caused by anthracyclines is reduced by the clinically approved bisdioxopiperazine drug dexrazoxane. Dexrazoxane is a rings-closed analog of EDTA and is hydrolyzed in vivo to a form that strongly binds iron. Its protective effects were originally thought to be due to the ability of its metabolite to remove iron from the iron-doxorubicin complex, thereby preventing oxygen radical damage to cellular components.

Objective: To construct a diagnostic signature to distinguish lung adenocarcinoma from lung squamous cell carcinoma and a prognostic signature to predict the risk of death for patients with nonsmall-cell lung cancer, with satisfactory predictive performances, good stabilities, small sizes and meaningful biological implications.

Methods: Pathway-based feature selection methods utilize pathway information as a priori to provide insightful clues on potential biomarkers from the biological perspective, and such incorporation may be realized by adding weights to test statistics or gene expression values. In this study, weighted gene expression profiles were generated using the GeneRank method and then the LASSO method was used to identify discriminative and prognostic genes.
