Introduction: School-based universal depression screening (SBUDS) is an effective method for early identification of depression. As parents are the primary decision-makers for their children's acceptance of healthcare services, this study aims to examine rural and urban parental acceptance of SBUDS.
Methods: The study assessed parental acceptance of SBUDS for their children and its association with self-reported parental perception of depression (i.
Purpose: We aimed to analyze the influence of different designs (inlay, onlay, and crown) on stress distribution and crack propagation in an endodontically treated cracked premolar.
Methods: Three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA) was employed to model an endodontically treated cracked premolar with three different restorations (inlay, onlay, and crown). Six types of loadings (vertical loading of 600 N; hot thermal-600 N vertical coupling loading; cold thermal-600 N vertical coupling loading; oblique loading of 200 N; hot thermal-200 N oblique coupling loading; cold thermal-200 N oblique coupling loading) were applied to simulate the hot and cold food/beverages intake.
Background: A lung cancer diagnosis has a huge impact on the psychological well-being of both patients and family caregivers. However, the current psychological stress status among dyads remains unclear. We aimed to determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression and identify the factors that influence patients with lung cancer and their caregivers.

Despite recent advancements, clinical outcomes for GC remain unsatisfactory. Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) have shown promise in inhibiting tumor progression, but their role in GC, specifically human umbilical cord MSC-derived small EVs (hucMSC-sEVs), is not well understood.

These changes are associated with a transient phase of glucose intolerance that involves islet destruction and subsequent regeneration near hyperplastic ducts. The phenotypic changes in CF ductal epithelium and their impact on islet function are unknown.

Kidney diseases are characterized by their intricate nature and complexity, posing significant challenges in their treatment and diagnosis. Nanoparticles (NPs), which can be further classified as synthetic and biomimetic NPs, have emerged as promising candidates for treating various diseases. In recent years, the development of engineered nanotherapeutics has focused on targeting damaged tissues and serving as drug delivery vehicles.

MMHg cycles in all spheres of the Earth but the sources and fate of atmospheric MMHg are unclear. Here, we develop a global model for atmospheric MMHg, which integrates the presently available data and indicates the limitations of the current study.

Currently, the beneficial role of mesenchymal stromal cell-derived small extracellular vesicles (MSC-sEVs) in cutaneous wound healing has been widely reported, but the field of photoaging remains to be explored. Our results suggested that human umbilical cord MSC-derived sEVs (hucMSC-sEVs) intervention could effectively alleviate skin photoaging phenotypes in vivo and in vitro, including ameliorating UV-induced histopathological changes in the skin and inhibiting oxidative stress and collagen degradation in dermal fibroblasts (DFs).

Purpose: This multicenter, randomized, phase III clinical trial (Northern Radiation Oncology Group of China-002) focused on patients with oligo-organ metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have epidermal growth factor receptor () mutations. We aimed to investigate whether first-line concurrent thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) and EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), compared with TKIs alone, could achieve better survival.
Materials And Methods: The patients in the TKI plus TRT group received 60 Gy to primary lung tumor and positive regional lymph nodes.
Objective: Early detection and diagnosis of lymphedema are crucial for effective treatment and prevention of its progression. Normative-based diagnostic thresholds can enhance diagnostic accuracy in the absence of preoperative measurements. This study aimed to investigate preoperative inter-arm differences and the associated factors, as well as to determine normative-based thresholds for lymphedema in Chinese breast cancer patients.

However, a knowledge gap existed regarding the interactions among these symptoms. This study aimed to construct symptom networks and visualize the interrelationships among arm symptoms in breast cancer survivors (BCS) both with and without lymphedema (LE).

Breast cancer survivors with ULL reported a wide range of symptoms. However, little is known about symptom patterns and interrelationships among them.

Methods: This was a prospective, single-masked, randomised, controlled clinical trial. Patients with ME following CRVO were randomised into groups to receive intravitreal injections of 0.
Mercury (Hg), a potent neurotoxin posing risks to human health, is cycled through vegetation uptake, which is susceptible to climate change impacts. However, the extent and pattern of these impacts are largely unknown, obstructing predictions of Hg's fate in terrestrial ecosystems. Here, we evaluate the effects of climate change on vegetation elemental Hg [Hg(0)] uptake using a state-of-the-art global terrestrial Hg model (CLM5-Hg) that incorporates plant physiology.

In this work, the molecular mechanisms underlying fat destabilization in whole UI-UHT milk by added plasmin were investigated based on the hydrolysis behavior of interfacial proteins. By using SDS-PAGE and peptidomic analysis, we found that the hydrolysis of interfacial proteins by plasmin led to a decrease in the amount and coverage of interfacial proteins and an increase in zeta-potential value, causing the flocculation and coalescence of fat globules.

The hmuR operon is transcriptionally activated by the Irr protein and is also positively controlled by HmuP by an unknown mechanism. An hmuP mutant does not express the hmuR operon genes nor does it grow on heme.

Stem cells (SCs) have been used therapeutically for decades, yet their applications are limited by factors such as the risk of immune rejection and potential tumorigenicity. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), a key paracrine component of stem cell potency, overcome the drawbacks of stem cell applications as a cell-free therapeutic agent and play an important role in treating various diseases. However, EVs derived from two-dimensional (2D) planar culture of SCs have low yield and face challenges in large-scale production, which hinders the clinical translation of EVs.

The combination of CFTR modulators (potentiator and correctors) has provided benefit to CF patients carrying the F508del mutation; however, the safety and effectiveness of in utero combination modulator therapy remains unclear. We created a F508del ferret model to test whether ivacaftor/lumacaftor (VX-770/VX-809) therapy can rescue in utero and postnatal pathologies associated with CF.
