In this work, a "Janus" zwitterionic hydrogel patch where one side can adhere firmly to the tissue, while the other side has anti-fouling properties and has little interaction with the surrounding tissue has been developed. The "Janus" hydrogel patch is prepared by in situ formation of a bonding polymer layer poly(acrylic-co-N-hydroxysuccinimide acrylate) on one side of zwitterionic hydrogel.

Exposure to fine particulate matter (PM) poses numerous health risks, with oxidative potential (OP) serving as a critical marker of its toxicity. Synthetic phenolic antioxidants (SPAs) and bisphenols (BPs) influence reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in PM, and exposure to these compounds induces oxidative stress in organisms, thereby potentially affecting the OP of PM. Lipiodol-based transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is currently the predominant and first-line treatment option recommended by the global standard for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the unstable emulsion of Lipiodol causes a substantial proportion of chemotherapy drugs to enter the circulation system, leading to poor accumulation in cancer tissues and unexpected side effects of chemotherapy drugs.
