The escalating emissions of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO) and the pervasive issue of nondegradable plastic pollution underscore dual urgent challenges in pursuit of a sustainable society. Achieving such sustainability in the plastic industry, while effectively addressing these environmental concerns, necessitates the development and implementation of innovative strategies for the synthesis of biodegradable polymers utilizing CO as feedstocks. The technologies not only facilitate the mitigation of elevated atmospheric CO concentrations but also introduce a renewable carbon resource for polymer manufacturing.

However, the adaptive mechanisms of plants to alkaline salt stress remain poorly understood, especially at the molecular level. The Songnen Plain in northeast China is composed of typical 'soda' saline-alkali soil, with NaHCO and NaCO as the predominant alkaline salts (pH ≥ 9.

However, the association between high body mass index (BMI) and the aggressiveness of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is controversial. In this study, we aimed to investigate the impact of excess BMI on histopathologic aggressiveness of PTC in a Chinese population.

Is the urban business credit environment influencing urban environmental conditions? The study takes the entropy method for calculating the environmental pollution index of 276 prefecture-level cities across China from 2010 to 2021, the CE1 index to describe the urban business credit environment, and a spatial Durbin model to empirically analyze the mechanism and transmission path of the urban business credit environment on environmental pollution. The findings demonstrate that: (1) there is an important positive spatial association between China's urban pollution index and urban business credit index, and that the level of spatial clustering of the two is increasing over time.

Studies have identified psychological stress contributes to elevated depression symptoms through reappraisal cognitive in nursing students. However, there is little research exploring the knowledge regarding the role of ruminative thinking in mediating the associations between psychological stress and depression symptoms.

A profound comprehension of the morphology, structure, active constituents, and dynamic changes during the whole process of CMM growth is essential, which needs highly precise contemporary techniques for in-depth elucidation. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a cutting-edge tool integrating the benefits of both nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and imaging technology.

We aimed to determine whether there is an association of CMDs, namely, any cardiovascular disease, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, thromboembolic disease, hypertension, cerebrovascular disease, ischemic heart disease, diabetes mellitus type 2, and hypercholesterolemia with the risk and progression of MNDs.
Methods: We included 1463 MND patients (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), primary lateral sclerosis (PLS), progressive spinal muscular atrophy (PSMA), and unspecified MND) diagnosed from January 1, 2015, to July 1, 2023, in Sweden according to the Swedish Motor Neuron Disease Quality Registry (i.
d-Tagatose, a rare sugar endowed with a low-calorie property, superior taste quality, and probiotic functionality, has garnered significant research attention. However, the prevailing biological production methods relying on β-galactosidase and l-arabinose isomerase face challenges including high cost and suboptimal conversion efficiency. Consequently, it is of great research significance to find efficient alternative routes for d-tagatose synthesis.

Microbial utilization of methanol for valorization is an effective way to advance green bio-manufacturing technology. Although synthetic methylotrophs have been developed, strategies to enhance their cell growth rate and internal regulatory mechanism remain underexplored. In this study, we design a synthetic methanol assimilation (SMA) pathway containing only six enzymes linked to central carbon metabolism, which does not require energy and carbon emissions.

Methods: This research included adult participants from NHANES cycles 2009-2014. Survey-weighted generalized linear regressions were used to explore the associations between BFR exposure and periodontitis.
Background: Liver transplantation (LT) has demonstrated favorable efficacy in managing end-stage alveolar echinococcosis. Nevertheless, the current research focal points and advancement trends remain ambiguous.
Aim: To map the research landscape to underscore critical areas of focus, influential studies, and future directions of LT for echinococcosis treatment.

Primary uterine non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is rarely reported, as its incidence is extremely low. We describe a 72 year old patient with primary uterine non-Hodgkin's lymphoma stage IV, diffuse B-cell large cells, who responded well to cytotoxic chemotherapy (R-CHOP). Radiological investigations exhibited certain characteristics, including magnetic resonance T2 weighted imaging, enhanced scanning, diffusion weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient values.

However, the use of synthetic chemicals for color construction and functionalization of silk/polyamide fabrics is problematic because of their non-renewable resources and harmful effects on the environment. Furthermore, achieving even color construction of silk and polyamide fibers in one bath is challenging due to their significant differences in chemical structure and surface properties.

Studies indicate that taking low-dose aspirin before the 16th week of pregnancy may prevent approximately 70 % of PE cases, highlighting the importance of predicting PE. Cell-free RNA (cf-RNA) exhibits significant changes in the maternal peripheral blood during early pregnancy, making cf-RNA analysis a promising and less invasive method for predicting PE.

Background: Surgical palliative surgery is a common method for treating patients with middle and late stage gastrointestinal tumors. However, these patients generally experience high levels of cancer pain, which can in turn stimulate the body's stress and undermine the effect of external surgery. Although opioid drugs have a significantly positive effect on controlling cancer pain, they can induce adverse drug reactions and potential damage to the body 's immune function.

Endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EnMT) is the transversion of endothelial cells to mesenchymal cells under certain physiological or pathological conditions. When EnMT occurs in the corneal endothelium, corneal endothelial cells (CECs) lose their normal function and thus cannot maintain corneal clarity. Studies have shown that the mechanism of EnMT in CECs involves the transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) signaling pathway, and one of the important inhibitors of the TGF-β/Smad2/3 pathway is sirtuin-1 (SIRT1).
