Background: This article reports a case of a intralobar pulmonary sequestration (IPS) with a significantly large feeding artery aneurysm and shares the successful treatment experience.
Case Presentation: A male was diagnosed with IPS combined with a feeding artery aneurysm approximately 74 mm × 61 mm in nine years ago but refused thoracotomy at that time. The patient presented this time due to an infection, and a CT scan revealed a significant increase in the lesion size to approximately 123 mm × 100 mm.
Mycotoxin contamination poses a great threat to food safety and human health. Thus, universal and sensitive detection of mycotoxins is urgently needed. Herein, N/O co-doped porous biomass carbon was synthesized from rice straw as a novel electrode modification material for fabricating an electrochemical sensor for mycotoxin detection.

Methods: We collected clinical data from 10 patients with AGCT-NEL, confirmed by pathology, treated at our hospital from January 2016 to January 2024. We retrospectively analyzed the MRI features of primary and metastatic lesions from aspects such as shape, edge characteristics, MRI signal, and enhancement features.
Antibody-based research applications are critical for biological discovery. Yet there are no industry standards for comparing the performance of antibodies in various applications. We describe a knockout cell line-based antibody characterization platform, developed and approved jointly by industry and academic researchers, that enables the systematic comparison of antibody performance in western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence.

: Currently, there is a significant lack of effective pharmacological agents for the treatment of breast cancer. Acylglycerol Kinase (AGK), a lipid kinase, has been found to be aberrantly expressed in breast cancer and is closely associated with tumor proliferation, migration, and invasion. However, no clinical anti-tumor drugs specifically targeting this kinase have been developed.

The adsorption effects of FeO-C@SA GBs on heavy metal ions (HMIs) and 17 β-estradiol (E2) in water are evaluated by classical kinetic models and isotherm models. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model shows that FeO-C@SA GBs have maximum adsorption capacities of 9.

Objective: Cisplatin-based chemotherapy is widely used for the treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), but drug resistance and decreased sensitivity often occur during the treatment, greatly weakening its therapeutic effect. Caveolin-1 (CAV1), a protein related to ferroptosis, is involved in regulating the resistance and sensitivity of various tumor chemotherapies. This study aims to investigate whether CAV1 can regulate the sensitivity of OSCC to cisplatin through ferroptosis.

Unlike conventional T cells, they recognize tumor antigens independently of the MHC antigen presentation pathway, making them a potential "off-the-shelf" cell therapy product. However, isolation and activation of Vδ1T cells is challenging, which has limited their clinical investigation.

Furthermore, SLs are released into the soil by roots, especially in conditions in which there is inadequate phosphate or nitrogen available. SLs have the aptitude to stimulate the root parasite plants and symbiotic cooperation with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi in rhizosphere.

This system integrates sensor arrays to detect gases, data acquisition for signal processing, and data analysis for precise identification, enabling it to assess gases both qualitatively and quantitatively in complex settings. This article provides a brief overview of the research progress in electronic nose technology, which is divided into three main elements, focusing on gas-sensitive materials, electronic nose applications, and data analysis methods.

Therefore, it is of great significance to detect trace NB efficiently and sensitively. Herein, a porphyrinic metal-organic framework (MOF) of Mn-PCN-222 (PCN, porous coordination network) was first synthesized by the coordination between Zr cluster and tetrakis (4-carboxyphenyl)-porphyrin-Mn (Ⅲ) (MnTCPPCl) ligand.

The identification and structural resolution of the potent neutralizing epitopes on RSV fusion (F) protein enable an "epitope-focused" vaccine design. However, the display of RSV F epitope II on the surface of the widely-used human hepatitis B virus core antigen (HBcAg) has failed to induce neutralizing antibody response in mice.

Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 Fc fusion protein (ACE2Fc) has been investigated as a potential neutralizing agent to various coronaviruses, including the lingering SARS-CoV-2, as this coronavirus must bind to ACE2 to allow for its entry into host cells. ACE2Fc, an investigational new drug developed by Henlius (Shanghai China), has passed the Phase I clinical trial, but its huge amount of charge isoforms and complicated charge heterogeneity posed a challenge to charge variant investigation in pharmaceutical development.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA series fluorescent probes (TBM-Cx (x = 1, 4, 8)) were designed based on embedding various alkoxy chains on the electron donor of triphenylamine (TPA)-based dicyanovinyl (MT) compound with an electron-deficient benzothiadiazole (BTD) for sensitive, selective, and visualizing detection of cyanide in aqueous solution. Due to the nucleophilic addition of CN, the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) of these probes was inhibited by the destroyed conjugated structure, exhibiting excellent "turn-on" fluorescence response toward cyanide anion (CN) in tetrahydrofuran (THF). However, the alkoxy chains with different lengths embedded in TPA not only enhance the sensitivity and solubility, but also regulate the emission behavior from ICT to aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics.
