We examined data from a corresponding subsample of patients from the multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled WAKE-UP trial to determine whether MRI-guided IV thrombolysis with alteplase in unknown-onset ischemic stroke benefits patients presenting with vessel occlusion.
Methods: Patients with an acute ischemic lesion visible on MRI diffusion-weighted imaging but no marked parenchymal hyperintensity on fluid-attenuated inversion recovery images were randomized to treatment with IV alteplase or placebo.

We present a technique to improve detection of residual aneurysms after endovascular coiling by which iodine-map DECTA (IM-DECTA) reconstructions subtract platinum coil artifacts in MIP images (MIP IM-DECTA) and assess if IM-DECTA offers improved detection over conventional CTA (CCTA) or monoenergetic DECTA.
Materials And Methods: We included consecutive patients who underwent endovascular aneurysm coiling with follow-up DECTA and DSA within 24 months.
Slow digestion of starch is linked to various health benefits. The impact of wheat particle size on starch digestibility and quality of wire-cut cookies was here evaluated by including four soft wheat fractions [ flour (average diameter, 83 μm), fine farina (643 μm), coarse farina (999 μm) and bran (1036 μm)] in the recipe. The susceptibility of starch in these fractions to digestion decreased with increasing particle size, resulting in a 76% lower digestion rate for coarse farina than for flour as found with the single first-order kinetic model.
